The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s concert in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday descended into chaos after frontman Anton Newcombe and guitarist Ryan Van Kriedt brawled onstage.
As depicted in fan-captured video posted on social media, the musicians began fighting after Newcombe appeared to fire Van Kriedt in the middle of the concert. “Cut off this guy’s mic, put down my guitar, party’s over captain,” Newcombe said to Van Kriedt. “We actually don’t need you. Go! Put my guitar down on the stage and think about what’s happening.”
“You better think about this one, man. Because this is forever!” Van Kriedt responded as he took off his guitar and began to exit the stage. As he approached Newcombe, the two gave each other the middle finger and got into a shoving match. Newcombe appeared to then swing a guitar at Van Kriedt, leading to a full-fledged brawl, with...

British thrashers Evile recently announced their new bassist, Joel Graham, who joins the band following the tragic death of their late bassist, Mike Alexander. Joel Graham previously played in Yorkshire metal band Rise To Addiction, who recorded for Mausoleum Records.
New Evile bassist Joel Graham comments:
"I'd just like to say how much I'm looking forward to the upcoming tour with the band, and can't wait to meet all the Evile fans personally. Since the announcement was made about me joining Evile, the words of support have been overwhelming in what is ultimately a very difficult position in the band to fill. All I will say is, I will do my best every night of the tour and contribute what I can to keep this band stronger than ever. See you on tour, and thank you.."

British thrashers Evile recently recorded a Pantera track for the upcoming Dimebag Darrell tribute album (which we last reported on here), which will be released on the cover of the 200th issue of the UK's Metal Hammer magazine. The special CD and magazine are being released to coincide with the five-year anniversary of Dimebag's passing, and will be available in shops on December 16th.
Alongside various other well-known bands such as Machine Head, Evile were asked to record a song as a tribute to the late guitarist. Evile recorded a cover of the track "Cemetary Gates", and this tragically turned out to be the band's last recording before the untimely death of their own bassist, Mike Alexander, who passed away on October 5th while on tour in Sweden.

Ashlee Simpson is defending big sis Jessica's controversial curves.
"It's disgusting that people would say those things," Ashlee tells Women's Health magazine. Jessica was mocked in an NFL ad last month in which a cartoon Dallas Cowboys Marion Barber says, "Man, I still can't believe Tony [Romo] dated Jessica Simpson, even after she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!"
Ashlee goes on, "My sister has an incredible body. I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her,...

Jessica Simpson has a fear of squatting. The singer - who faced huge criticism earlier this year when she appeared to have gained weight - dreads having to perform the tough aerobic exercise with her personal trainer and finds it hard to take his advice. She said: "On my way to workout with my trainer. Every time we have to do squats, and he yells at me, 'Get lower like you're in the club!' "I don't squat in the club unless I am peeing!" Squats - which help strengthen leg muscles - are performed by bending the knees and lowering the torso before standing up straight again. Last month, the 28-year-old blonde beauty re-hired her ex-personal trainer Mike Alexander...

The canine star of new movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua was saved from certain death when Hollywood animal trainer Mike Alexander discovered him on a California animal shelter's 'doggy death row'.
Rusco was set to be put down after he was found wandering the streets of Moreno Valley, and no one came to claim him.
But Alexander spotted him on an online directory and decided he would be perfect for the role of Papi in the new film.
He then had a race against time to save Rusco from a lethal injection.
Alexander tells the National Enquirer, "I rushed down to the shelter, but it was so far away and I had traffic to deal with. When I got there they were just closing the doors."
He returned the next day and was thrilled to discover Rusco was still alive: "After spending a little time with him, I knew that this was going to be Papi."
Rusco plays a tough street pooch in the movie. His voice is added by comedian George Lopez. Drew Barrymore lends her voice to Papi's love interest Chloe.
