A monkey of privilege named Peanut and a pig from maintenance named Digg are accidentally thrown together in a quest to discover why their tropical island home of Goola is sinking into the ocean and then must save it.

The tropical island of Goola is a vibrant and colorful "fruitopia." Its citizens live happily and safely thanks to the amazing Goola Juice Bubble Maker that keeps the island afloat far above the water, as it has done for generations. But now it is failing, and soon Goola will sink beneath the waves. The island's only hope lies in the paws of a charming, misfit monkey called Peanut. Descended from a legendary monkey, Peanut is meant someday to take over the Goola Fruit Factory. Unfortunately his charm has always outshone his talent, and in his heart he knows he's no hero. Now he is being sent along with his arch rival, the brutish monkey Cheek, and an attractive scientist rabbit named Flo, on an expedition to save Goola. But when an accident in the Bubble Maker separates them, Peanut and a chunky worker pig named Digg are hurtled deep into the caverns of Goola's great volcano. Peanut and Digg are an odd couple, each struggling with the other's personality and view's on life on Goola island while trying to find a way out of the mess into which they have stumbled into. Eventually they form a bond of friendship through the hardships they encounter while trying to save everyone else.
