- Lots of laughs when odd couple meets odd couple in 'LOVEITIS'... At first a bad bet. Then a case of mistaken identity by 'Styx and the Boys' resulting in the tremendous hospital pummeling of aristocrat prosecutor Stephen Wells pairing him with hard rock guitarist 'The Love Machine' asleep one bed over. The Machine in an effort to make good for the hospital mishap embarks on an effort to restore Stevie's happiness. Their paths cross with odd couple sisters Kimberley Ann and Cindy ironically in the same position with Kim trying to cheer up her sister after a failed marriage and suicide attempt. Machine and Kim play cupid trying to restore Stevie and Cindy's happiness with a curve ball requiring an unorthodox remedy at the end—Anonymous
- Stephen Wells a wealthy prosecutor with political aspirations attempts suicide after a humiliating court loss and a gold digging wife. The "Love Machine" rock and roll guitarist crashes his motorcycle and ends up in the adjacent hospital bed. Machine's bad bet and a case of mistaken identity leads to "Stevie" being pummeled by washed up punk rock singer "Styx Dynamite" and his boys "Handsome" and "Brick Hands" looking to collect. Feeling responsible Machine vows to help restore Stevie's health and happiness taking him in. Stevie has been thrown out of his estate by his blood sucking wife "Victoria" who even steals his dog. The two become "lifting partners". Machine decides another romance is the best way for Stevie to forget the past. He attempts to raise Stevie's spirits taking him to the "Cat Club" 13th & University NYC every week were he is now the DJ. After no luck trying to fix Stevie up with a new romantic interest they take a gambling trip to Atlantic City. There they run into their female counterparts in Kim and here depressive sister Cindy. Cindy ironically like Stevie attempted to take her own life after a failed marriage. Kim and Machine conspire and play cupids but it's not easy. Cindy and the Machine are oil and vinegar eventually butting heads in a heated argument. It looks like another bust but fun loving Kim convinces her sister to give the boys another chance and go dancing. The fortunes reverse and the evening ends with the promise of another rendezvous. Machine has arranged for an extravagant dinner followed by a trip to the shore and a boat ride. He enlists Stevie in a ploy to get the girls to sleep over that night admonishing him "You're cue is when I say purely Platonic" All looks good when Machine bursts through the doors of the apartment with Kim on his shoulders having convinced the girls to stay over. Romance is in the air when the momentum comes to a screeching halt. Stevie makes a a stunning 11th hour revelation! Machine has to think fast and resort to some unorthodox methods to help Stevie overcome his fear.
