Uday and Ragini decide to travel to a friend's farmhouse in the country and spend some time together. Upon arrival, Ragini finds the entire bungalow rigged with cameras, and Uday is recording their movements on his camcorder. They settle down to have some fun but are soon interrupted by two friends, Priya and Vishal, who are en-route to Matheran. The foursome chill together, but Vishal gets upset when he finds that Uday is not pleased by their presence, and they quickly depart. Finally alone, the two try bondage and intimacy but will be interrupted again - this time by a malevolent and vengeful Marathi-speaking entity.—rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)

Their privacy are interrupted when they are joined by another couple, Vishal and Priya where they imbibed. Ragini (Kainaz Motivala) and Uday (Rajkummar Rao) are a couple, who are planning a weekend of fun. After asking Uday where they are heading and getting no response, Ragini's friend & roommate, Piya, gets upset and wants Uday to leave their house immediately.

Uday pays no heed to her, wakes Ragini up from her sleep, and tells her to get ready for their weekend getaway. Uday is rude, forceful and has no consideration for Ragini. Ragini wanted to go with Piya and her friends to Matheran and wanted Uday to accompany her. But he gets offended by the suggestion and forces Ragini to come with him. On the way they pick up some supplies, and also spend time on the beach.

They then travel to Uday's 'house' - a mysterious abandoned building at a deserted location in the middle of a jungle. Ragini's mom calls her to ask her whereabouts, but Ragini lies and hangs up. Upon arrival, Ragini and Uday discover worms in their bag of food but neglect it.

Uday is involved in the business of making and selling sex tapes of innocent girls. This time the victim is Ragini, who thinks that he loves her. Uday has plans of recording a video of Ragini, without her knowledge, so that he can fulfill his dream of becoming an actor. Uday and his partner had set up hidden cameras all over the house to record Ragini's videos. The cameras were even set up in the bathroom which recorded Ragini taking a bath.

Everything is set, and Uday is prepared have sex with Ragini and record the whole thing. However, they are interrupted by Ragini's friend, Piya (Janice) and her boyfriend, Vishal (Rajat Paul). Furious by their visit, Uday tells Ragini to get rid of them, but they end up staying for a while.

After a bash of music, dance and beer, Vishal says that, on way to this house, local pan vendor told him the house belonged to a lady who was accused of being a witch by her family member and was subsequently killed by her family. However, she returned as a vengeful ghost and murdered her entire family. Uday laughs at this story and walks away. Vishal goes to the bathroom and senses eeriness in the house. He hesitantly makes his way back to the living room but senses someone behind him.

Vishal notices that one room door opens and closes many times, so he enters in, and the door gets locked from outside. Vishal manages to escape the house. After some time, he enters the house from outside and blames Uday for locking him inside the room, by latching the door from outside. Vishal says that he had to escape by jumping through window. Priya finds one scratch mark on Vishal's neck & after an argument Vishal leaves with Piya.

Afterwards, Uday turns on the cameras without informing Ragini and handcuffs her to the bed. While they are kissing, Uday's neck is scratched by someone. The light goes off and Uday takes his phone and leaves for downstairs to fix the light. The door which Vishal had gone through opens inexplicably. They hear some strange sounds and Uday says in Marathi, "I am not a witch."

Uday returns to Ragini's room, and he again starts to have sex with her. When Uday is top on of Ragini, his hair is pulled by someone and starts bleeding from head. Uday gets his phone that he had left downstairs and calls his friend to confirm whether they are playing a prank with him. After receiving a negative reply, he realizes that there is another presence in the house. Ragini asks for the key to the handcuffs. While searching, Uday stumbles and Ragini spots a camera in the room and realizes Uday's intentions. Ragini reacts with terror, shock and anger.

Ragini is unable to do anything, as the key goes missing, leaving her tied to the bed. As matters worsen, his phone battery become low & Uday runs away, leaving Ragini alone. The spirit (Mangala Ahire) does not let him escape however, and Uday returns upstairs, bruised from all the beating he received from the ghost. The ghost enters Uday's body and makes him commit suicide. He picks up a pointed object, stabs himself in the neck, and dies. Terrified, Ragini screams for help, but no one hears her. Ragini struggles to unlock herself from the cuffs before sunrise. She tries to break the bed post but fails. She finds the key under the bed but fails to get it. The next night, the ghost attacks her again, but she manages to break free by cutting her hands with glass and using her blood as a lubricant.

Ragini escapes the house and runs away, screaming for help. When she sees a car, she chases it but finds Vishal dead inside. After trying to start the car unsuccessfully, she hides in an old well where she finds Piya's body. The ghost then grabs her and brings her back to the haunted house. The ghost says that she is not a witch, and she did not kill her children. Neither will she leave her house, nor will she let others get out of there alive. Ragini slowly rises up in the air and is slapped and thrown around. The ghost then tries to make her commit suicide, but Ragini is able to stop her and toss the weapon away.

The spirit hangs Ragini to a wall for many days. As the sun rises, she slips down to the ground, having survived and is free to escape. On-screen text reveals that after a few days, a local boy finds Ragini unconscious and takes her to the hospital. She had to go through intensive psychiatric treatment for 10 months, and then agreed to tell her story.
