While Harm and Mac investigate a murder aboard a ship at sea, Harm becomes trapped with two others inside the brig; a collision causes many problems, including flooding of the compartment. Harm solves the crime and becomes rescued.

Harm and Mac investigate an apparent murder aboard a ship at sea; while Harm interviews the prime suspect inside the brig, the ship collides with an uncharted reef; in the brig the lights go off, the telephone dies, the compartment starts to fill with water, and the suspect goes berserk. Circumstances change in the brig, and Harm gives consideration to an alternate theory. The Chief Master at Arms abandons Harm and the sailor. The admiral, after a retirement party, arrives aboard a nearby ship, which has come to help; he lends a hand, and Harm and the suspect figure things out. The admiral starts to wonder about the degradation of skills while one ages.—DocRushing

As the ship collides with a reef, Harm is trapped below decks with two crew members, one a hotheaded murder suspect (Marco Sanchez) and the other the master-at-arms (Christopher Cousins) in a compartment that starts to fill with water. As the room they're in floods, Harm must find a way for them to escape. Admiral Chegwidden deals with the slow diminishment of his skills due to age.

Harm is trapped below deck on a sinking ship with a sailer, who has been accused of murder, and a guard. Some rescue equipment collapses, blocking the only escape route. As water begins to fill the room, the three men are certain that the situation is hopeless.

Rabb investigates a death on board a ship. As he's interviewing the suspect the ship collides with something, trapping him and 2 others in the brig. Shortly the cabin begins filling with water. As they try to figure a way to get out, they also try to solve the crime. Chegwidden meets with an old friend whose about to retire.—Jesse Sanchez
