As a young boy, Chief Inspector Liam O'Neal (Cedric Smith) from Ireland, had been attacked by a vampire and now as an adult, he is a hunter. A series of killings brings him to Ontario, where several victims are fitting into a pattern that Bridget Hellman (Kimberly Huie), a detective in training, brings out he is territorial and will strike again. O'Neal gives her a Crucifix, for he knows what they are up against and with her on the team he desires to protect her. Visiting the Raven he senses the vampire world there, but is thrown out when he tries to intimidate some of the customers.
Clued, Knight (Geraint Wyn Davies), visits Janette (Deborah Duchene) at the "Raven" where if forces her to tell him who's the killer among many names they know him as, she mentions Jack the Ripper, who is also known as the Barber to LaCroix (Nigel Bennett).
Even though he drills Schanke (John Kapelos), the Irish Inspector asking questions about Knight, Dr. Natalie Lambert (Catherine Disher) keeps the conversation from digging too far into his life. Not deterring him, he keeps investigating who Knight really is.
Investigating a scene, we see Knight landing in a very rare episode of this particular ability. Their investigation leads them to a warehouse where the Ripper attacks Bridget, and O'Neil is trapped in Dr. Lambert's car as it burns killing the Ripper. Knight saves O'Neal before it blows, ripping the doors of the vehicle, and they escape the infernal flames. He knows the truth of Knight, but is remorseful of Bridget's death. Waiting by her tombstone, O'Neal faces the now turned Bridget with a cross-bow.
