Toward the end of the film when the police detective and Karl drive to the Hotel Ventura to show the bellboy the photo of Emily, the clock just above the corner drugstore says 8:24 p.m., but when they walk from the car into the hotel, the clock above the registration desk says 7:50 p.m.

The position of the door knocker in Helga's hand changes between shots numerous times when she uses it.

After "Miriam" persuades bell-hop JIm Nesbitt to marry her on the 6th of September, she instructs him to call for her at midnight at her hotel room. When he shows up at the appointed hour, he walks her out to his car, which is parked in the street. However, the time shown on the illuminated clock above the drug store door across the street is 8:10 p.m.

When the justice of the peace asks for the money for the marriage certificate, Emily hands it to him twice.

At 32:10, when Emily opens the door to leave the store, there is no reflection in the glass as the door swings open, indicating that there is no window in the door.

At the beginning of the movie, the calendar in the hotel shows the date as September 5th. Emily tells the bellhop they must marry on September 6th (this is so they will be married by Warren's 21st birthday). But in a close-up of Warren's birth certificate, it shows August 7th, 1940 as his birth date. So they're gonna have to wait nearly a year to celebrate.

The ring that Emily is using and later throws from the car, is engraved as 'M. W. Sept 6th'. This would indicate that she was using it to frame Miriam Webster and so the date may have been Miriam's birth-date. While there would little logic in that as it would lead the police back to her town, Emily has shown an unquenchable hatred for Miriam and so may be doing this not as a grand plan but as a symbolic attack on her rival.
