Continuity

(at around 5 mins) The guitar missing from fireplace when Reggie returns for the shotgun; it reappears after he turns the gas on.
(at around 3 mins) When Reg hears Mike in trouble, he puts down his guitar and runs upstairs. The rocking chair which was next to Reg has now gone in this shot, the rack of utensils by the fireplace (poker, shovel etc.) has switched which side of the fireplace it is on, and the logs by the fireplace have changed completely.
When the 'Cuda wrecks Reggie is holding the double shotguns. When Mike cuts Reggie down he also grabs the two duffel bags which are the only things they carry away from the wreckage. Later in the movie the shotguns come back.
(at around 1h 6 mins) After the 'Cuda hits the rock, the car takes off and lands on its roof in the grass with the exhaust system intact. When Mike gets up off of the pavement, he walks past a burning tree with a tail pipe in it, and the 'Cuda is now on the pavement.
(at around 1h 30 mins) At the end of the movie you can see a hand print on the window before it is touched.

Factual errors

(at around 1h 6 mins) When The Tall Man abducts Liz, throwing her into the back of his hearse and then drives away, Mike and Reggie hop into their car and chase after him, hoping to rescue Liz. When they are along the side of the hearse, they see The Tall Man driving and Mike tells Reggie : "Well, shoot the fucker!". A bad idea since Liz is in the back of the hearse and would face certain death if the driver was killed and no one was left to steer the hearse.

Revealing mistakes

(at around 1h 15 mins) When Liz hits the marble mausoleum wall, it wobbles.
(at around 1h 26 mins) When the Tall Man carries Liz out of the pillar room to strap her down on the embalming table, the pillars are seen in the background. Reg's feet should be visible, hooked around the right one, preventing him from being sucked completely into the alien world. No feet are visible.
(at around 1h 19 mins) When the large sphere attacks the assistant in the morgue (in his back), he flails a lot against the wall in the corner, but no blood is left there even though there are gaping wounds.
(at around 1h 16 mins) When the Tall Man's sphere lands on one of the henchman's hands, pinning it against the door, the long thin black wire which guided it to his hand is visible attached to the sphere, running off-screen.
(at around 1h 27 mins) When Mike and Reg are sucked through the pillars, there are two shots of Reg in the alien world. His feet, which should be hooked around one of the pillars, are visible in the shot, wholly in the alien world. Reg is also lying on his stomach, with his feet side by side on the ground, when his feet should be vertical, hooked around the pillar back on his world.

Miscellaneous

Were does Reggies money come from??? Though this is a mistake throughout the series, Reggie is always seen having plenty of money for whatever thing he needs. This is especially noticeable in this film, as he puts a lot of money in the cash register, yet there is no explanation as how he acquired this and in this film it's very noticeable.

Crew or equipment visible

The camera man's reflection can be seen on the sides of a hearse as they drive by in close ups.
Crew and cameras are reflected in the silver sphere numerous times, especially as the sphere is embedded in the crematory henchman's hand and back.
(at around 1h 16 mins) As we see the view of the sphere soaring through the air, as Liz and Mike struggle with one of the crematory henchman, on the floor you can see two white tape marks which are not there in any other shot.

Plot holes

When Mike and Reggie break into the hardware store, there is no burglar alarm. A hardware store especially a small town hardware store, would have even at the time, has some form of alarm. It certainly should have went off, and Mike and Reggie should have been caught. It just doesn't make any sense.
Why didn't Reggie purchase all of the stuff at the hardware store legally? He is shown to have the money and after breaking a entering, he puts a lot of money in the cash register. The laws at the time were not as strict as they are now and even with Mike being a former mental patient, Reggie could have gotten around this by buying all the stuff in the hardware store himself. His breaking into the hardware store makes little sense, and is a definite plot hole.

Character error

In the opening scene, there is a close up of the tall man, right after Mike's house explodes, and you can see that Angus Scrimm reacts to the explosion, despite the fact that the tall man is a alien and therefore should not be afraid of a explosion are even react to it. Clear actor error.
When Reggie and Mike break into the Hardware store, they don't have gloves on there hands, and yet don't seem to be concerned about there own finger prints? Even at the time, finger prints were a common way to identify criminals and both Mike and Reggie should have known this. It makes very little sense, and they could have got themselves caught and linked to a very serious crime. It just doesn't make sense.
