A young, unsuccessful singer, after committing suicide, is to be reincarnated, this time into a musical family. Her spirit must get to the hospital where her future mother is currently ready to give birth to her, so that she can enter the womb and be born. Unfortunately, she misses her appointed birth time, twice, due to the accidental intervention of a young man, Mr. Hong. At first she is angry and makes life hard for him, but eventually they fall in love, although she can't stay around long as she has one last chance to be born.

A foul-tempered mute fugitive hides out amongst a theater troupe after his criminal wife got killed by the police. He sets his sights on a cowardly laundry man, and will not rest until he kills him, while donning a theatrical face paint.

A young woman has a tragic accident, slipping on a skateboard and falling off the roof of a tall building. Koo Chi Ming, an insurance investigator, is sent to determine whether the girl's death is an accident or a suicide and he recognizes the young woman from an earlier chance encounter. His boss wants him to conclude it was a suicide so that the insurance company doesn't have to pay. The young woman's ghost visits Koo to tell him that her death was accidental and they fall in love. When Koo's girlfriend and his parents find out he's in love with a spirit, they hire an exorcist to get rid of her.

A killer fails to assassinate his target and attempts to escape from pursuing bodyguards. With the help of a woman he runs into in the hotel, he is able to escape detection by pretending to be a gigolo. Later, he becomes a tenant in her house. Still believing him to be a gigolo, she dislikes him at first. However, they eventually fall in love and he reveals his true past to her. He gives up his life as a killer, but must face one final confrontation from a rival assassin out for revenge.

A hard working salaryman takes off five days from his busy job and sets off with his wife and two children to visit his parents in his hometown for the 1991 new year holidays. He decides that they will go by car to save on expenses. Unfortunately, the long drive from Tokyo to his hometown becomes a much longer journey than expected due to traffic, sickness and other misfortunes and by the time they arrive three days later, they only have time for a short but happy visit.

Entertainment manager James Wong loses his lead singer Jannie Fong when she breaks her contract. Angered, he turns his efforts to making a young dancer named Russell, who has no singing experience, into an even more successful singer than Miss Fong. During his climb to success, Russell's girlfriend, Dionne, feels alienated from him.
