After Life (2019)
Brilliant
I've heard about this show for a while but never got around to watching it until tonight. Have just finished the first season and it's absolutely brilliant. Genuinely emotional and funny at the same time. Ricky Gervais' humour and perspective is perfect. Highly recommend.
Prisoners (2013)
Brilliant
The acting, the plot, the cinematography, all brilliant. Tense, twisting, suspenseful right to the end.
Jake Gyllenhaal is fast becoming one of my favourite actors and I don't normally like Hugh Jackman but this was powerful.
Highly Recommend.
The Amazing Johnathan Documentary (2019)
Featuring the Amazing Johnathan
What the hell? Should've read reviews before watching. This Ben guy (director) claims there are multiple filmmakers making a documentary about the Amazing Johnathan (including himself) but in reality, he's not making one about Jonathan at all, he's just making a documentary about himself complaining that other people are making a documentary about the Amazing Johnathan. Don't waste your time and maybe go look for the other guys doco. It can't be worse than this. Gets 2 stars rather than 1 only because there's some clips of old shows that are entertaining but I could've looked those up on YouTube I'm sure.
Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers (1987)
Nobody here but us Hams!
What's not to like? Any ham can have fun with this Scooby Doo classic! Ghosts, a haunted mansion, hillbillies, a wacky southern sheriff, an ape and a goofy butler. I loved this as a kid and nothing has changed. Full of laughs with the Boo Brothers, and a nice basic plot that keeps everyone entertained.
