Ellen: Thirty Kilo Man: Part 2 (1995)
Laughing so hard my gut hurts!
If I am correct, this is the Ellen episode where Ellen's sort-of boyfriend (yes, this is from the time before she came out and the show became all about that), who was involved in the Pizza Industry, came back into town. There was a chance they could get back together, but there was a problem...it seems as if he has been "dealing" with some Mob-hit-man types. Is he still selling pizza...or something else? Ellen and her mother (who would like nothing more than Ellen to get married) opens a package containing white powder. What do they do? I'll tell you what they do....they make one of my top five TV moments EVER! I laughed so hard that my stomach ached for the rest of the show. I STILL can't help smiling when I think about it!!! If any of you have ever doubted this show's comic genius, please see this episode (note, it is a two-parter) Also, if you like this, be sure to catch the episode about the bachelorette party for Paige (69 stars!!) and the one where Ellen and Paige go to the health spa. Absolutely CLASSIC! Also of note is ANY Ellen show with William Ragsdale (Herman's Head) and/or "TV's Horseshack". IN fact, they bring Ragsdale back even after Ellen comes out and he has a great couple of lines right at the end.
Oh, and heck, since this is so long, let me comment on Ellen's TV mother and Father. Could you PICK two better parents for her? They were PERFECT and perfectly funny! In fact, the entire cast was just stellar. I'd love to see a reunion!
All of Me (1984)
Great, Quirky Fun!
This is a perfect example of Steve Martin's best quirky fun.
If you liked "Man with Two Brains" or any movie where you can just sit back and enjoy silly, often clever antics of people in bizarre situations, you will love it!
Steve Martin gets to show off his great physical comedy (there is a scene right after the "incident" where Steve is doing nothing more than walking down the street, and it is hysterical!
Lily Tomlin is also fantastic! (and I agree...Martin and Tomlin should do more together!!) And Jason Bernard is perfect in his role!
"Put Edwina Back in Bowl!" "Back in Bowl" "Back in Bowl"
