A Cold Grave (2024)
fun found footage
Clearly the movie was low budget but they did well with what they had. I particularly enjoyed the opener and the twist at the end. The only reason I'm not giving this movie 10 stars (again, considering it was low budget) was that there were too many scenes where the main character spoke directly into the camera. Those scenes were a little slow and I felt lacked depth, as the character just kept saying he needs to find his sister over and over again. Overall I enjoyed the jump scares a lot they definitely gave me a scare! Lol I really hope they make a sequel eventually so I can learn more about the lore.
Horror in the Forest (2023)
Fun and Twisted Indie Horror Flick!
If you're looking for a fun (and pretty scary) indie horror flick then look no further! You can really tell the team put their heart and souls into this one and worked their tails off to get the job done.
The film contained some excellent jump-scares, and the third Act was a nice slow-burn that really left you with a sense of supernatural dread when you walked away from the movie.
I do wish that we got to see better glimpses of the main antagonists, as the directors did an excellent job crafting a villain with this one. The actors did well too considering this is an indie flick and overall I was really entertained. I rented it on Amazon for like $2 so it felt like money well spent.
The Girl in Cabin 13 (2021)
Straightforward horror flick, no clownin' around
Not every movie needs some intense twist that will leave you questioning society. This was a straightforward flick - we know the antagonist's intensions from the get-go......
The Invited (2017)
Fun Watch for Indie Horror Film Fans
It's a fun watch if you go in with realistic expectations. Not necessarily the best I've watched but it's obvious this indie film was created on a MicroBudget.
Truth be told I enjoy these films more than the multi-million dollar blockbusters that are soulless cash crabs.
