Unfortunately, I am so sad to say that it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I came across this accidentally on TV, and I stick around just for Tim Allen and Courtney Cox. But the script was pretty awful, even they couldn't even save it. I just gave it a 3, just because the little girl's funny kind of scenes. Other than that, it doesn't deserve your time.

How can some people not understand that before vomparing it to like Supernatural? (By the way, I am a huge fan!:))
Anyway, If you don't like it, do not watch the show, it is that simple. Don't thrash it with some ridicilous comments, simply because it is not good for your taste. It is ok not to like, so write in a respectful way, drop the show and move on, don't be a troll.
I mean, a reviewer complained about the writing but didn't know anything about grammar! The review contained a LOT of mistakes. So please, first get a dictionary and a grammar book, learn how to express yourself clearly, then thrash the writing. (By the way English is NOT my native language, so it's not an excuse.)
And another one complained about Lucifer gone soft during season 3, has no one heard character develeppment before?? If no character would not learn from their mistakes,or do not have some different kind of traits along the way (good to bad/bad to good) and stay the same, why would we ever watch the show season after season?
Don't get me wrong, I am all for good and sensible criticism, but some got too caught up with it, it is just entertainment, don't take it so seriously.
And I'm binge watching before I start 4&5, currently in season 3, there are some scenes and episodes that I don't like, but I don't let it take the fun out of it.
So if you like something different from the others and see a sometimes kind of softy and in love Devil, you will enjoy!

And I don't agree with some of the reviewers over here. Look, it's not the best one of Garry Marshall's, but it is not the worst. I mean, come on, no one is claiming that this is a masterpiece. It's just another movie that makes you feel good and smile and probably wanna call your mom.
I know there are some cheesy scenes that you can see in this kind of movies, like the classic reunited mother-daughter scene between Julia Roberts and Britt Robertson (adopted child finding her birthmother after sooo many years) or the lying daughters' lies all come out with a surprise visit from the parents, etc.
And I have to say I was really pissed at first all the racists and homophobic comments of the Texan couple (as you can imagine) but in the end they got reconciliation and this was the movie's main point.
So, it is not a total waste of time, you will not regret it, there were really good comedy scenes, but obviously it will not be a classic.

This is the first review that I wrote here, because I felt the need upon reading strange reviews of this movie.
First of all, this is a FRENCH movie, if you fail to understand. So if you don't know anything about their culture, their lives, or their sense of humour, or this is your first French movie, of course you don't understand this, you don't love it and you wrote crap about it.
So if you like French cinema, and light hearted comedies, (and romance), you will definitely like this one. Yes, in some scenes it seems like porn, BUT almost all french movies contains some sex scenes, so it is no big deal, because the movie is not all about those scenes.
As one reviewer stated, there is also an app for allocine, you can look all the movies that you want.
