Reviews
Distorted (2018)
The trailer was enough
The trailer was enough for me not to watch this film, could already tell it was going to be cheesey by the editing style and music. Then came to read some reviews and it seemed downhill. Glad I didn't spend money on this one.
Extinction (2018)
cliche and terrible effects
So bad, even the cheesy lasers that the aliens shoot look so 90's. It's so predictable and doesn't really suck you in. such a cliche film I'm not sure why netflix puts this crap out.
Princess Cyd (2017)
beautiful piece of humanity
I really enjoyed this simple film, it has a lot of heart. both the main character cyd and the aunt were really beautiful characters dealing with life and connection. both those actresses are so charismatic.
Sense8 (2015)
took me a while to get into it
I would watch an episode here and there in the first season, took me a while to warm up as the story was so complex. I fell in love by the 2nd season, to show love and humanity so deeply within a science fiction is incredible. Each one of those archetypes i see so much in myself, the characters are so likable because they resemble parts of all of us. What an incredible production and series, I'll forever remember it. I hope the actors move on to wonderful careers!
I Am Another You (2017)
non judgmental look at homeless and mental illness
So many people who are homeless or live on the streets have stories to tell and it makes me so happy someone put their creative efforts into telling a story so a wide audience could see it. This film is amazing and very inspiring.
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017)
super cheesey
Unfortunately i think neil patrick harris was miscast here, he just looks like a young guy in make up and it loses the believability and becomes like a cartoon. He doesn't walk or even talk like an older person that he is playing.
Quand on a 17 ans (2016)
potential but left with lacking
All the cliches aside, yes this movie was completely predictable, i knew the father was going to die. You never saw the son struggling with his fathers death, you only saw the mother shed a few tears. it wasn't very believable how very calm it seemed to have the father die, nobody suffered greatly. maybe because the father character wasn't developed much and they wanted to spend more time on the love story aspect. the very end was super cheesy, it was sweet but could have ended it in a more thought provoking way instead of a cheesy kiss. aside from all that, the acting was pretty well done.
