Ash vs Evil Dead: Books from Beyond (2015)
Season 1, Episode 3

Not all books should be read out loud
20 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Curiosity killed the cat, remember?

Mysterious warrior lady just checked out Kelly's parents graves to carry on her search. Looks like she's on the hunt for the book. Remember Xena? She looks just like her. More mature though.

Meanwhile, Ash and the team are trying to sort out the situation with demons. They go to the book shop. Which is really good thing to do in our modern age of technology. I mean, many teenagers already don't know what it is. And what book shops are ... a really cool places with jars of weird dead creatures and artifacts for occult ceremonies. Ash and book-worm-guy decide to ask for advice from a very twisted demon. Silly. And of course nothing goes according to plan.

The visual effects of "Ash vs. Evil Dead" are made to movie scale. It's a new age of TV. Absolutely. New demon is incredibly creative and spooky. I haven't seen anything like this before and it will sure bring some scary shivers down your spine for a little dance of terror.

I am excited to see what's coming as there is no easy way out of this mess. Looks like a "Walking Dead" type of apocalypse is coming. Time to find a new hope.

Dish of the day - meat with blood
20 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Life can never be the same when demons are on the loose.

While Kelly is looking for a way to make sure her beloved family is safe, Pablo becomes very good in his team building efforts.

Kelly's mother is back from the dead. Thank God! She got into an accident and lost her memory. Only now she started remembering things and found her way home. It's time for a good old family dinner. Suspicious Ash is invited and takes the place of honor at the table which is to the right side of the host. The main dish is meat... with blood.

Good old gory vibes are back. Here they are not awfully aggressive and negative. They are kind of fun. The intention is not to scare the viewer and make him feel depressed. The intention is to entertain you with a "black humour" inspired smile.

The pace that first episode started with, carries on well. And I have to admit again and again, that 30 minute format works very well for this show, as we have nothing of no meaning. No time to relax. Demons are taking over.

New kind of superhero
1 November 2015
Evil Dead was one of those first scary movies I watched as a teenager back in the mid 90's. It was so scary I was afraid of the dark for a while. First two parts were kind of serious scary, so the third movie was such breath of the fresh air with it's twisted dark humour. I think watching this third part made me less scared of all the creeps in the night.

That is why I loved the direction this show went. It's scary/funny/silly. Without going to the extremes of violence. It is easy to see, that creators and cast had a real fun working together, creating the beasts and spilling the blood all over the place.

Ash is a cool guy. He might as well become a new great character on TV, cracking silly jokes and heads of the monsters. Hope we'll see development of other characters as well. For now we met Amanda - cop, struggling to keep her sanity. Pablo and Kelly - two now ex colleagues of Ash from the store. Both are pretty weak so far. But good and important in regards to waking up the inner hero in Ash. And mysterious Ruby. Who we have yet to figure out. Beautiful women in white.

First episode definitely made me excited about the rest of the season. It is a good 30 minute format. Hope the humour will be at the good level without going to silly. Feels like there is some really fresh and great potential here. With creating a new kind of superhero. Without him being too much of the serious Comic book's hero.

Thank God I did not payed for the ticket. My friend did. His bad.

I am from Russia and honestly... I am sick of this movies about dirty stupid Russians drinking vodka. We do not have these kind of movies about Americans. Why there is no respect for other countries? It's all about America and how cool it is. Well... It's not cool anymore.

There was no plot whatsoever. I guess it's just got lost on it's way from the Cold War times. When was it? Last century. Duhh... So is this poorly executed film about nothing.

Please, if you have a little brain left don't watch this peace of SHameful and Idiotic Trash.
