Masters of the Air (2024)
So Annoying! Terrific start, gets into its stride then..... Spoiler Alert....The Director of episodes 7 & 8 is a Spoiler.
Seen all episodes. Acting fine, putting flesh to each character, action became tense and then....episodes 7 & 8 took this all away. A bloody shame & the director should be embarrassed, spoilt what should be a fine testament to the Bloody Hundredth, the 8th Air representative. The CGI was fine, be ridiculous to expect surviving Forts are of 80yrs to step up. If only the focus remained tight, stayed with the 100th, add new characters, allow time for them but instead film wasted on confusingly short distracting needless side storylines. Brit bashing is a shame, become a cliché of a cliché. Please stop it. A great opportunity missed.
Us (2020)
Rubbish schedule for a depressing story
COVID so all stuck in doors for months yet the BBC airs this when many couples, maybe with a family, are 'trapped' outside of their normal environment which makes their lives together tick. So where is the entertainment in watching a couple brake up, because the wife is bored with her husband, shown at a time when people are mixing in a life that is now half a year ago. A programme to avoid at this time. Btw I am fortunately in a secure happy marriage. Perhaps BBC schedulers are not or just plain thick in the head.
Höre die Stille (2016)
Commendable effort
Given that this was filmed as an end of year class project, then this is an commendable effort especially where a shared prop coat gives a new meaning to 'low budget'. A tragic tight story line, that could be told in other times and places, such as yankees upon a backwater group of confederate homesteads.
Versailles: The Legacy (2018)
A shame
After an enjoyable interesting second series that lead up to dark penultimate, what a disappointing finale.
Baby Driver (2017)
Get over yourself....
...with the negative waves. It's a film, not real life, a story, that has for me one of better kick off the marks starts. Pull a beer, eat pizza, relax and don't think too hard.
