Drake & Josh (2004)
The best show on Nickelodeon
I remember back when Drake & Josh first started in early 2004. I was excited to see something new on Nick, especially since at the time, all that seemed to air was Spongebob and The Fairly Odd Parents. I have to admit that at first, I was skeptical: two different early teenage boys, their parents remarried to each other, annoying little sister, etc. I thought it would be the same plot (the boys not getting along and their sister being a pest) episode after episode. I was wrong. This show has bits and pieces of that idea in most episodes, but there is also a lot more: growing up, getting jobs, relationships, pranks, getting in trouble, being grounded, etc. It was definitely refreshing to see another show on Nick that wasn't an animated show about things that could never happen. Everything in Drake & Josh is relevant to today's preteens and teenagers. And I am a witness to adults being amused as well! It's fun and exciting to watch Drake and Josh get in all sorts of trouble and all of their different ideas on how to deal. This show cracks me up on a regular basis and I recommend Drake & Josh to anyone with a sense of humor looking for something fun to watch. I give this show a 9/10.
Re-Animated (2006)
Not as bad as it looks...
Okay, this movie SERIOUSLY isn't as bad as everyone is saying. Yes, you need to be very imaginative and able to tolerate some dry humor, but it isn't horrible. MOST of the acting is very good, at least for a kids' movie. And, it definitely is original. A Cartoon Network Original, to be exact. People keep saying a drugged-up ADHD kid wrote this or something, but that's the fun of it! You don't know what to expect. The boy's (Jimmy) parents are slightly clueless, and sort of one-dimensional, but that's fun as well. His sister being an alien is quite strange, but again, it's called 'humor' people! I have to admit, I actually liked this movie!
