Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
End This Damn Franchise
Sally had the opportunity to blow away Leatherface with a shotgun, but decided to interview him instead... 3 stars purely for the bus scene. That was entertaining.
Halloween Kills (2021)
Why Does It Have To Be A Trilogy?
They are making 3 of these new movies and this is the 2nd one. And nothing really happens because they need to still make the third. The comedy kills any sort of tension the movie has going for it. Only good parts are Michael Myers still feels menacing like he did in the 2018 film and the music is good as well. Just end this franchise.
F9 (2021)
Bombastically Fun
It is a Fast & Furious movie. People need to calm down. See it in a theater. Its great.
The Unholy (2021)
What is with all the negative reviews?
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A little cliche in parts, but that is most horror movies. I enjoyed the message of the film and the scares it had to offer.
Midsommar (2019)
Style Over Substance
The film is gorgeous to look at. However, by the end you are left wondering "what the hell was the point?"
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
An Entertaining, But Flawed Ride
Star Wars Episode 9 had a lot to overcome. The Last Jedi didn't advance the story all too much, so this movie had to act as both a second movie and a final movie in this trilogy. JJ ultimately did the best he could, but it does fall flat at times and relies too heavily on nostalgia. Still an entertaining move and one worth seeing on the big screen.
Emelie (2015)
Strong start, mediocre finish
The first hour of this film was engaging and even suspenseful. However, the last twenty-five minutes almost ruins it.
It's TRUE that a bad ending can ruin a good movie. The acting was great. Especially the performances from the main three children. The cinematography was great and the atmosphere was great as well. The last act just brings the movie down. I would have loved to have given the movie an 8, but I'm giving it a 6. And that's being generous after that last act.
Really a missed opportunity to have a stellar thriller.
