Echo 3: Upriver (2022)
How is anything this bad?
Pointless flashbacks. Totally unmotivated drama and dialogue. A gay relationship just because it's 2022 and within the first 30 seconds of them being together they're fighting about deep principles (even though they've been in love forever) with the silliest dialogue imaginable. For no reason, one of the male leads has an entirely new accent. The characters who need to be saving are unlikeable. It's actually impossible to understand why this show was made. It's like Taken if Liam Neeson's character is stupid and his daughter got herself in trouble and it seems better if she never gets out of it.
House of the Dragon: King of the Narrow Sea (2022)
Horribly stupid.
Every episode of House of the Dragon has been bad, but this is getting unforgivable. There is no story through four episodes and the only breaks from utter monotony about how girls can't rule are unmotivated scenes of action and sex. There is virtually no point to anything that happens. This is fan fiction and B filmmaking. The sex scenes were ridiculous. What is this episode about? Slut-shaming? And then lying about it. GoT incest is supposed to be provocative? The only interesting character so far in the series was the Crabfeeder and he didn't say a word the whole time. This is insulting to the source material.
Game Theory with Bomani Jones: Episode #1.1 (2022)
Embarrassing
Woke idiots pretending to teach everyone about life through sports. Propaganda repackaged as analysis. It's actually amazing that something so transparently stupid and ignorant premieres at this point. It's like a bird crashing into a window they didn't realize was already closed. Will it even stay on air for all the scheduled episodes?
Euphoria: The Theater and Its Double (2022)
Some experiments fail
I generally like euphoria and respect them for really "going for it" here, but it didn't work. They didn't build up any anticipation for "Lexi's play" throughout the season and this episode makes no sense without it. It was disjointed and plotless. Euphoria often gets into its own "edginess" and "creativity" to the point of obsession and that's never been more true than this episode. It was painful to watch at time. Oh well.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Excruciating
This is one of the worst things I've ever watched. She sleeps. She wakes. She walks. I was hoping she'd kill me. A truly horrendous throwaway episode with atrocious writing. There aren't enough bad words to describe this.
