Cruella (2021)
Wow!
It might be that I have not been to the cinema in 1,5 years due to the pandemic but... WOW!! What a great movie to start with!
It's fun, it's fresh, it's different and beautifully made with great acting!
I really only have 2 negatives and that is the wig in a few scenes and one scene at the end but the movie has so many positives that you can not fault them for the few negatives.
Emma Stone.. I have no words except.. PHENOMENAL! She and the creaters gave Cruella a beautiful depht.
Watch it, you will not regret it.
Frozen II (2019)
One of the best sequels EVER!!
I LOVED the first one and was so exited for this one.
But I where a bit skeptic.. after all it's a sequel.
This movie is a love letter to the fans of the first movie!
The characters have grown with the audience.
Elsa is exploring her powers and want to find her place in the world.
Anna starts of the same as were she ended in the first movie but she has a though time in this movie that forces her to grow up.
Olof surprised me, he has matured a lot, he's still the happy goof we all love but he is more independent and looks for the answers to the questions he as.
Kristoff has more screen time, he as the BEST song visually speaking. I would have loved to see more of him though. It feels like his arc could be explored MORE. His story is yet to be told.
Just like the first movie, this one is not the typical Disney movie.
The first one is a love story between to sisters.
This time they removed the villain and made it in to a beautiful movie about the struggle and importance to find your true self!
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)
Bad story
Absolutely nothing wrong with the acting but I unfortunately the story was not good..
It started fine but very predictable and boring at times.
Dismissed (2017)
Good movie about a psychopath
It's not the best movie I have seen but I was pleasantly surprised.
Storyline is good, you kinda know where it will end up.
I like Dylan Sprouse (Lucas), he does a good job. I have seen him before and this is one of the best portrayals I have seen him do.
Kent Osborne (Mr. Butler) performance is not the best, I have not seen him in any other movie so maybe this is good for him or it might be that the character arc is not that interesting.
All in all.. a good movie to watch if you like thrillers.
A Simple Favor (2018)
Interesting, complex and fabulous
First of all the intro score is fabulous! It sets the tone for the movie perfectly!
In the beginning Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) seams to just be your average stay at home mom with to much time on her hands but the more we get inte to the movie we get to see that she has a lot of layers (some disturbing) and that character has an interesting storyline. Anna Kendrick does a great job of portraying the complexity of Stephanie.
Emily (Blake Lively) is the kind of character that you instantaneously know is complex. From the start your are intrigued and want to find out more about her. Blake Lively as always is fabulous at portraying this kind of complex character.
Over all the film is very interesting, you want to find out what happened to Emily and see how the story unfolds.
The Little Mermaid (2018)
Trying to hard
I think this could have been great, the twist of the old story was good and I like the era they filmed it in. Unfortunately the bad guy could not act and the script could use some rewrite so it's not so obvious and cheese. They tried the thing with leaving things unsaid but did not really work, not because of the acting of the 3 main characters more because of the way they filmed it. I did actually like the main characters and the beginning of the film is good but then they try to hard in the middle of the film so when den ending came it felt like they them self just wanted the film to end because they had no way of making the ending good with the way they went with the story and the actors skill level.
