We Are Newcastle United (2023)
Great!
A very interesting and insightful documentary into the day to day running of a professional football club. People will say what they will about the Saudi ownership but this is clearly not sports-washing. These people don't know the true meaning off the word. I found it quite pathetic how certain clubs tried to intervene with things to try and prevent Newcastle from competing, such as the sponsorship thing, when clearly other clubs such as Manchester City are sponsored by a company from their owners country. I like this clubs owners. Very professional and appear to have a great working relationship with the clubs staff. They have the best interests of Newcastle United at heart and that's great to see. Other clubs owners should take note (cough cough Man Utd, Everton).
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Hating GoT. The new Hipster trend!
While admittedly in my review of the previous episode I said seasons 7 and 8 weren't as good as 1-6, I still stand by my opinion that this is the greatest series to grace our TV screens. This episode is action packed and full of drama to keep you on the edge of your seat. I don't think it's as good as the Long Night but it's still hands down the 2nd best episode this season so far. People complaining really need to get a grip or just stop watching altogether. Why would people complain that there's not enough dialogue in a battle episode? Do you want the characters to stop and have a bit banter and a cuppa half way through a war? The only thing I would deem disappointing to come from this is if Cercei and Jamie have died when the Red Keep collapsed on them but we don't know for sure if they are dead yet. Preferably I'd have Jamie or Tyrion kill her after she'd killed one or the other but hey I don't write the show.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Haters gonna hate!
While this episode wasn't exceptional like last weeks It still falls into the average/good filler episode category. While there wasn't a lot of action there were still things happen, such as characters revealing alternative motives to keep me watching. I also feel that this episode has suffered because people were already hating on it and giving it negative reviews before it had even aired. SERIOUSLY!!! Yes I agree that the show has dropped in quality compared to the 1st 6 seasons and suffered due to HBO messing their relationship up with George RR Martin but the people responsible for GoT have still done a great job with the restrictions they have to keep the show entertaining and making sense in relation to previous seasons. If you armchair critics think you can do a better job go ahead and make your own show. I'll wait!
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Amazing!
Don't get why all of these so called armchair producers are slating this episode so much. It was spine tingling from start to finish and a lot of it made sense, even the ending. Maybe these wannabe critics should just jog on and watch something else if they're just going to nit pick every little minor detail.
