Barnaby Jones: Death Is the Punchline (1980)
Once again
If everyone just shut up and stop complaining about J. R. and Betty and their friends always being in trouble and just enjoy the show, then they would see how good the episodes really are.
This isn't a bad episode at all. I get the fact that people come to Barnaby but he's not the only star and I truly enjoy the J. R. and Betty episodes; particularly Betty's.
At the beginning I just knew the long shark would be the killer, but once the murder happened I knew exactly who it was, but the second killer caught by suprise. It shouldn't have but it did.
All in all a good episode and should not skip it. Especially since we're down to the last five episodes and it is very bittersweet.
Barnaby Jones: A Short Happy Life (1979)
As I said before
Like I said before don't let the reviews turn you away. You should always see for yourself.
This episode was not as bad as the reviews say. I enjoyed it and I also enjoyed the character that everyone seems to hate "Foxy". The episode kept me wanting to more and I wouldn't mind seeing the character return again.
The only thing I didn't really like was when the guys entered Foxy room while she was asleep and went through her closet looking for a certain type of shoe. That scene was kind of fake. Other than that the show kept me interested. Originally I wanted to give it a 9/10 but after seeing all the hate it got I had to give it a 10/10. Watch it for yourself. Hopefully you enjoy it how I did.
Barnaby Jones: Uninvited Peril (1978)
Not so bad
The smartest decisions were not made in this episode, but still not as bad as the reviews make it. I've learned while watching this series it's best to give it a try for yourself because you may miss out on a good episode. What's bad to others may be good for you.
I was baffled when these people showed up to Betty's house and when she allowed them to stay. I almost had a heart attack when she woke up that morning and they were having breakfast as if it was their home. Like I said before, not the best decisions made but the show does get better.
The mother in the show does some great acting and in my opinion deserved an Emmy nod for her crazy performance.
Barnaby Jones: Gang War (1977)
Not bad as the reviews say
The saying "try it for yourself" is very true because this episode was not as bad as the reviews make it seem. I actually liked this episode better than a couple of the episodes in season 5. It's the best performance I've seen by Mark Shea (J. R.) as of yet (Season 6, Ep 6) he held this episode well without Barnaby and Betty at his side the entire episode. Normally, I prefer having episodes more focused on Barnaby and or Betty but going forward I wouldn't mind seeing J. R. lead and episode or two. Don't let the reviews turn you away. You might miss something good. By the way I love Betty's younger hairstyle in this one.
Dinner for Two (2018)
Slow beginning but a great story
Started off slow but over all its a great story, very inspirational. Have your tissues ready because your going to cry a couple of times.
