I started in the short horror 2014 film DEAD STATIC as Chad Williams. I love the horror genre that my fiancé and I started our very own Horror Podcast entitled "Everything Horror Podcast".
Now in 2019, I'm starting my debut Short Horror, The Passenger: A Vermont Urban Legend. Set to release Halloween.

Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island (2019)
Swings and Misses
To me, Scooby-Doo was a beloved classic cartoon series. And well, as much as I used to watch the original cartoons, A Pup Named Scooby, Mystery Incorporated, and a few more before they started to make it live action. However it really wasn't for me, Scooby Doo (to me) started to fall downhill after a few years it seems. Whats New Scooby, and one more like Be Cool, Scooby Doo miss the idea of what the original attitude really was for these "meddling kids". Which in recent years we see them in more of a modern time, but they're still preferred "kids".
Twenty one years after Moonscar Island, we witnessed the curse of the zombies that weren't people in masks, but souls seeking vengeance on the three fellow "Cat People" or should were Simone Lenoir, Lena Dupree and Jacques. Now, the mystery gang who is retiring from mysteries are coming back to the Island. Was it really worth them creating a movie to bring them back?
The simple answer is no, they should have left the classic alone and did something new. Instead what we get is 80 minutes of pure disappointment of something so dearly and felt within the original movie from 1998, that this sequel is just not worth your time nor does it need to be in your mind that this actually exists. Alan Smithee, a director was responsible for their return. Trying to cash in on the gangs "glory" with making a film, what gets worse are the "actors" that have similar names from the original movie. It was like setting yourself up to meeting these people only to turn around and try to scare and bring back the "fear" that no longer is, on the island. Since everything was taken care of and dealt with back in 1998, in this case, it was solved.
According to Velma, who started a blog on all things Mystery Incorporated. She mentions on there she has a "Unsolved Capers" Tab, which is the most popular part on the entire blog itself, it is where Velma keeps everything that the gang never solved on there until it is solved, or doesn't. Shaggy and Scoob are so "done with mysteries" that they couldn't even see the weird setup that even started their "vacation" with guest star, Elvira.
In conclusion, Scooby Doo: Return to Zombie Island is nothing but a disappointment. Twenty one years to make a unnecessary sequel that gives no type of new information at all, except a few things but nothing ever happens with it and leaves you with more questions than answers. The original at least tied it in a nice bow of answering everything we needed to know and didn't show any signs of a needed sequel. It was perfect being left alone, and with that being said I actually wondering with a few lines within this sequel if it's some sort of joke or if they really are considering in doing another title to "make a trilogy". I hope not, but we need answers of what this other thing (disclosed because it's probably the only best thing about it) was climbing around.
Save your $5 to rent and just watch clips online or view the trailers (like one above). If you want to give it a try like we did, be my guest but don't expect it to live up to the beloved original with same atmosphere and having a strong story. Instead it's like a monster truck rally that crashes into a house that was important and historic but now can't be replaced. Sometimes old things that are good aren't worth trying to resurrect for a second go around. Keep it nice and buried.
The Grinch (2018)
What Happened...
I love the classic cartoon. Live action with Jim Carey, but this... this is nothing but a lump of coal under your tree. I think the political correctness finally caught up, on a classic just like The Grinch. I honestly finished to see what other things I found wrong with it, and what and how they butchered this story we all know well.
Circus of the Dead (2014)
Circus of the Dead Will Make You Think Of Visiting One Again.
To start this off I'm gonna say, this is one Circus you might want to just skip. Otherwise you'll be like poor Donald and his family within this "delicious" nightmare. The way the film was written, Clowns that take pleasure of killing, sex, and well eating or if not showing those the "way of the path" I'll say for lack of a phrase.
From winning the prize to putting down there address on a piece of paper for "Government" use, the Clowns hunt and kidnap you down, or worse. Papa Corn, the leader and mind behind the clowns seek out those by cards. There not just any cards though, there like "bingo, but from Mexico." as Papa Corn would say. Once a specific card is drawn or just skimmed through, if it matches up to someone or in this you, you might as well consider yourself dead.
Maybe I should add how screwed up these Clowns really are, especially when it comes to Papa Corn, who was acted by Bill Oberst Jr. Papa gets pleasure out of, well everything. If it involves raping, slitting, marking, torture or even sexual appearances, you'll be finding Mr. Corn touching himself. If he isn't chasing you bare bottom as well, oh yeah he does that too. Noodledoom, a large man with a mallet. You know the hammer you use to try ringing the bell, oh yes, you wouldn't want to run into this particular Clown. Who loves to eat flesh of any sort, even your cut off tongue. Mr. Blister seems to be a chill out Clown that likes to play games, and only kills when needed it seems. Jumbo, he's one clown you need to keep an eye on. He's like a dwarf that could easily not be seen inside of a vehicle to end your demise. Pepe the Mime, well add Leatherface idea to this Mime and juggling and you should understand this Clown already. Finally, Doll Boy, I wouldn't say he's a Clown, but someone who wears a Doll's face as a mask and his choice of weapon, sledgehammer.
You may be wondering the inspiration for Circus of the Dead, well maybe the beginning quote just might be the clue of this unnatural and messed up circus that we witness, at least it's on a screen and not actually inside of it. Because Papa Corn, may be watching you already while looking through his deck of cards for a match.
John Wayne Gacy, a real life serial killer who sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978 in Cook County, Illinois. Gacy became known as the "Killer Clown" because of his charitable services at fund-raising events, parades, and children's parties where he would dress as "Pogo the Clown" or "Patches the Clown", characters he had devised.
Circus of the Dead uses great practical effects with no CGI, as to what I can tell. It's all practical and nothing added by computer. The kills are just bloody amazing, and the story, well let's just remind you like I stated at the beginning. You might want to skip this one to spare your life, if not your entire families. Clowns, they're suppose to be entertainment. We aren't suppose to fear them, but then again Clowns can be scary. Don't forget, watch past the credits.
Doll Boy (2010)
Don't Ever Run Into DOLL BOY
Around 27 minutes short horror story, captured and placed into his house we watch a mother looking for her little girl with other people scattering as soon as the lady met her end of the hammer. Oh yes, pun intended. From there we see everyone else trying to find a escape route, or at least a way out.
Doll Boy resides, what seems to be an abandoned building that he covered with noisy objects, hanging shoes, and other gruesome things that no one would want to encounter. Sadly, that's how others met the end of the hammer, or at least you think.
Brandon who we met in the next film, Circus of the Dead is complaining about his missing watch, which we learn more within the other film. However, I guess he'll do anything just to escape. We can also add, Brandon uses practically 2 people as bait to escape his fate. Unfortunately, that doesn't go to plan.
Doll Boy is a great short horror that shows once again spot on practical effects, especially from those that got hammered. It also shows the connection of how Brandon was already captured within the start of Circus of the Dead, making Doll Boy, one killer you don't ever wanna run into.
Box (2019)
BOX is a nice nod
Lee Thongkham makes an incredible attempt at the old school 80's grainy twisting and turns films, while keeping it simple with hardly any dialogue as the story comes to life. Flash backs help understand this man, and possibly why this random box showed up at his door in the first place.
Upon watching, which I don't know if these films were inspirations to Lee, however I immediately thought of "CREEPSHOW" with The Crate, and the anthology film "XX" with their version of The Box. Which if you haven't seen any of those films check them out.
BOX is a great 30 minute short film that doesn't use any cheesy jump scares, that Hollywood over uses in any horror film nowadays. It also uses enough dialogue (if any), to focus mainly on the story itself with atmosphere, which I believe does the talking within the universe of Box. It may not seem much, but what can you expect when you literally murdered someone who has just kidnapped you and is now trying to kill you for whatever reason, you would have done the same thing yourself if you were in "the man's" shoes.
The box itself, is something you need to witness to appreciate. Like my other review, I don't wanna spoil much more even though it's like what to can I say versus not saying? I truly believe fans of the old school horror will enjoy this horrific adventure of what lies within the box, because we all have something to hide.
It's best watched in the dark, lights off and sound up. Cause if you see a "Box" at your door. Question now is. Would you open it? Or keep it locked away?
Unlisted Owner (2013)
Skeptical at first, liked it in the end.
First off I wanna say, I've never heard of this film until the Writer, Director and Actor emailed me to do a interview for this film. Knowing what I knew from the more of info email, I agreed to setup with interview. So a couple days BEFORE we were gonna do the interview over the phone for the Everything Horror Podcast (which if you don't like no filter language avoid my podcast). From the time I spent debating to rent this (before purchasing this), I decided to go for it hoping I'd like it and not a waste.
I enjoyed the camerawork actually and the way they acted / setup sets to do some of the stuff was not really noticeable. The only thing we noticed was near the end was the blood, it did stick out to be more pinkish to really not believe it. I did however got an answer via the Interview that the special effects guy they had at the time wasn't available when it came down to the blood.
If you don't swear teenagers swearing like they would when being around friends and stuff, watch this film. If you can't stand swearing almost every line, just ignore it. And if you would like to check out the interview I did with Unlisted Owners writer, director and actor make sure to check out the Podcast.
