Family man Don's visit to an old, run down Big Top circus and chance encounter with a nihilistic group of clowns leaves him fighting for his life and the lives of those he loves. As Don becomes drawn deeper into lead clown Papa Corn's games, he comes closer to the edge of reason and sanity. Armed with guns, knives and a '68 Camaro, the clowns lead Don on an all night crime spree through oil soaked West Texas. Papa Corn's wild ride brings blood, gore and mayhem to all he encounters. To call this just another killer clown movie would be doing this movie a disservice. From the first frame to the closing credits this movie makes you feel dirty for watching it and the last movie to do that to me was Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer and I have to say Circus of the Dead is a way better movie. (in my opinion) The script is tight, no filler..... all killer. Parrish Randall did a great job as Don the father of two girls he is desperately trying to save. The whole cast was awesome, but extra props goes to Bill Oberst Jr. as the leader of these murderous clowns a nasty evil clown named Papa Corn. Creepy and brutal in the same breath. Lastly the special effects were insane!!!! Not your typical slasher gore.....Very realistic. You need to run out and get your hands on this movie. It will stick with ya for awhile.
