The Old Oak (2023)
Heart wrenching
If this film doesn't tug at your heart strings, I don't know what will.
I was completely drawn into this, despite the hatred shown throughout. Beautifully written and filmed, wonderfully acted. There are scenes that you really may not wish to see or even beat about, but the sad truth is that this is Britain, and this is what it is like here, and in poverty stricken areas it is no doubt even worse for the areas that are hit hard the most. If you have a spare 1h 50min, this really is eye opening and well worth a watch I could only imagine seeing someone in government watching this not believing what they are seeing... This is Britain!.. and it's ugly, sadly.
There's Something Wrong with the Children (2023)
What on earth?!
How and why anyone writes this garbage, and finds willing actors to star in such crap defies me. I'm fairly sure you will never see or hear from anyone who 'stars' in those film again.
I mistakenly let my urge of wanting to see a new release get the better of me, rather than trusting my instinct of turning down a film with a dodgy front cover. I knew after the opening credits with really dodgy music accompanying ,this was going to bad..I should have turned off... But I didn't, and felt uncomfortable for the next hour and thirty minutes watching this dross. I hope that this is the last time I do this..
The Walking Dead: On the Inside (2021)
Best episode in a long long while
Suspense, not so many zombie kills but something new to reward the loyal watchers... Long overdue!
Nobody (2021)
2020/21 really needs this!
It's daft, OTT, but desperately needed. Funny, serious, action packed and unexpected! Barely a bit I didn't enjoy.
Shadow in the Cloud (2020)
The worst of 2021 I hope, possibly worst of the millennium!
I stuck it out to the end. I don't know why, but amazed that it actually got worse as it went on. It's so bad it truly is laughable.
If you think women tennis players make allot of noise when playing, Chloe beats them hands down.. And I had great respect for her 7-8 years ago..I hope she can salvage her career after this one.
Uncut Gems (2019)
Bloody Netflix/IMDb
No way is this worthy of the 8.1(at the times of watching).
I'm a big Sandler fan, and I was bitterly disappointed. All the talking over eachother all the way through it really annoyed me.
Just Mercy (2019)
No Oscar nod?!
How has Micheal b Jordan or the director/writer not got an Oscar nod?! This was wonderfully moving.
