Ozark (2017)
season 3 is effing hilarious
Love this series. Love the dark aspect of it.
At times it can get a bit annoying that literally everything keeps going wrong, all while the Byrdes seem to stay alive, just like that.. but I guess that's what's needed to keep the story going.
I just finished season three and to be honest, it had me in stitches at times. Really dark, really dry.
Great show.
Rebelde (2022)
cringe
I don't really know what to say.
The show is very pale and stereotypical.
There's a lot of bad acting, a bunch of high school musical-like moments throughout, the characters aren't very likeable and personally, I feel like you can't really build up a connection with any of them.
Im not sure what the target audience is either, cause besides the spicy sex scenes, it's mostly cringe high school bs.
It's not all bad, but it's definitely not great either.
La casa de papel (2017)
pfsh
Love this show! Has it flaws but so do lots of other shows
Also i just wanted to say that i am pretty annoyed (though not surprised) to see there's a bunch of Americans inhere again, complaining about how "foreign" it is, dropping stars for bad voice-over?! (lmao i mean really? Learn to read a damn subtitle? It really ain't that hard.. it is a known fact that EVERYTHING is much worse when it is dubbed) as if that has anything to do with the production and not with their anglophone asses. Lol
Oh and the sex! Oh my, the sex.. it seems like that's a real dealbreaker too and that folks are actually bummed out when producers decide to fill in some parts of the series with some mindless sexy stuff instead of adding more violence, blood and at least 10 kills per episode?
Also yes, Europeans are generally pretty voiced people. If we aren't content, we speak up.
So to be entirely honest here, no, i don't feel as if using the movie industry to put crooked business people and politicians or bad killer-cops in a more negative daylight is a bad thing.
It's not like this happens all the time in film, or as if it's a lie..
I mean give me a break, could you all try to not compare every damn piece of film ever made to those same old Hollywood stuff? Or to how it would be as if it was shot in the USA to begin with and just enjoy things that are set in and around other cultures, as they are?
The show is lovely in Spanish because Spanish is a beautiful language. (Oh and it is the second most spoken language in America! ;)) and I'm sure dubbing it takes out so much nuance, humour, wit, originality and ease, you might aswell not watch it at all.
Hypnotic (2021)
noice.
I really enjoyed this movie. Had some good little twists and the acting was overall very decent.
There were some moments that didnt really make sense, but maybe tha was just me nitpicking.
The ending however, was kinda cheesy.
Overall a good psychological flick!
Insiders (2021)
what?
Was even happening?
I kept waiting for the clue, a story, twist, something?
It was sort of entertaining, in the way this sort of exaggerated reality tv is entertaining.
But, since the characters were very obviously actors, that so called 'entertainment', that usually brings out a nervous giggle, aswell as some heavy cringing over the weirdly satyisfying secondhand embarrassment that watching a bunch of trainwrecks doing worse in life than yourself creates, wasn't seeping in without me having to force it lol.
Like i dont think I've ever seen a realityshow, not even the ones where literally everyone is off their face or hungover 99% of the time, that had these amounts of (hysterical) crying.
Very unrealistic tbh.
Also, looots of mini build-ups leading to..nothing at all.
That too was getting pretty frustrating pretty damn quickly.
Turned it off after realising i was doing a lot but actually watching the show.
Very odd idea for a show. The point has to dawn on me still.
He's All That (2021)
Lmao
Look, I did plan on having a shameless teenage high-school movie night, but even with that in mind, this turned out to be too cringe to even add to my shamelessly watched teenage highschoolmovies.
Literally probably the worst flick I've ever layed eyes upon.
Also, the comments inhere are hilarious and are, togheter with the highschool principle roasting the popular glee kid at prom at the end of the movie, the only thing that made me lol.
Seriously. This was bad.
Do not watch this movie if you value your time cause it'll steal 91 minutes of your life away you'll never get back.
