The Rookie: Double Trouble (2023)
Why do they keep doing these when they rate soo poorly??
The first one was...fine. The second was pushing it. This one is terrible. The episode in itself isn't completely atrocious. The actors are great, as usual. But I have a huge issue with accepting the fact that they're making a documentary about...AN UNDERCOVER AGENT. And this is the 3rd one she's been in, the logic has left the building. They seriously need to stop with these, and they definitely need to remember some logic. We watch to be entertained, not infuriated by stupidity. It seems they care more about stupid filler we will probably watch anyway, as opposed to actually delivering a good episode. That's a sure fire way to not get renewed for another season.
My Favorite Girlfriend (2022)
Ignore the biased crummy reviews
This isn't a blockbuster, or a box office hit, or a big budget film. Placing expectations THAT high seems to be where the negative reviews come from.
This is an excellent movie. I enjoyed it so much, that as soon as the ending said "well, that's for the sequel" I was COMPLETELY on board. It is a bit Cheesy, but I thought it hit Cheesy in a good way. And the hate on the main actress is completely unwarranted. I could tell which personality it was which pretty much as soon as her face changed, before the accent change.
Ignore the bad reviews. They're being WAY TOO harsh. It's not perfect, but neither is life. I truly recommend this movie.
Legacies (2018)
You just have to see it all
I am technically writing this before the final episode, so theoretically it could all be ruined in a couple days. That being said...
I do agree with a lot of the reviews from 2018-19. It wasn't entirely the vibe we were use to. It was muted, more teen driven drama. But it evolved quickly and the characters did as well. If we think back to the first couple seasons of TVD, it was similar in the calmer, teenage tropes playing out. The dramatic, constant violence was something that evolved.
Season 4 is a lot closer to the adult, violent, intensity we acclimated to towards the end of The Originals. While we only got 4 seasons of Legacies, I think they did a good job over all.
I genuinely think my only complaint is that a few of the old stars definitely could have phoned it in. The amount of phone conversations he has with old characters could have absolutely been recorded from their end without having to APPEAR, annoyed me a bit.
