Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Thrilling! Ignore the poor reviews
Excellent, excellent. The whole franchise is rather corny, and this IMO is one of the best Terminator movies with a a very appreciated modernity to it. The digital was outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. The acting was terrific, especially by Dani. Linda Hamilton and Arnold S. shone in their parts, and there were some very funny lines. They were very good. The plot was enticing and refreshing! It was a very entertaining movie. Leaving the theater, I could hear audience members saying "that was so good."
Don't listen to the poor reviews (most likely fake). It appears the Men's Rights Activists have derailed another review forum with their sensitives to any movie that doesn't have a 99% cast that look like them, and doesn't pander to their fragile egos.
If These Walls Could Talk (1996)
The woman's side
This movie is an important movie that shows the woman's side of this issue which is the only side that matters. It showcases the consequences of both choosing an abortion, or choosing to continue to gestate and embryo into a child. Sissy's S. character would have to give up her education and career promise, she and her husband's sanity, and sending her second eldest to college, if she chose to continue to gestate the embryo. Demi M. is in a hard predicament from one lonely mistake after her husband died in the war. If she chose to continue the pregnancy, she would be shunned by her family and sent away, and if she chooses abortion, it would be the ultimate risk in a time when it was illegal. Ann H. is young, immature and too irresponsible to raise a child. She is abandoned by her lover when she gets pregnant. She drinks heavily while she's pregnant - an important reason why abortion is the best choice.
This movie shows what a difficult, thoughtful decision abortion always is. It also shows clearly how much women must give up when they choose to have the child. That choosing to have the child should never be a thoughtless decision. Children should never be punishments for a mistake. Children deserve better. Children deserve to be wanted 100%.
This movie is one reason I will forever by pro-choice.
Life of the Party (2018)
This was so funny!
It was a bit slow to take off and a bit corny, but once it took off, it was it was constant laughter. The oral report scene was classic. Melissa McCarthy really shines in this film and carries it well as the lead lady. You won't regret watching this!
Battle of the Sexes (2017)
Amazing
Amazing movie based on real events. Highly recommended.
Ghostbusters (2016)
Better than the original
I was pleasantly surprised with this Ghostbusters version. I've seen the original a few times and I always wondered what the hype was due to it being boring and drab. This modern new version was a wonderful surprise and so much better! I never would have thought this to be the case due to the low reviews it received. I think that movie reviewers are putting the old Ghostbusters on a pedestal where it doesn't belong. It really wasn't that good. The only good thing about the old one was the theme song and the all-star cast. This new one also has an all-star cast, and quite frankly, it is a refreshing movie of it's time. It's about time we see a group of women together as protagonists doing something important without the sole purpose to look sexy. I can't think of any other movie that fits that qualification, sadly. As a woman, this movie warmed my soul. The characters are engaging and very silly. I laughed numerous times throughout.
