The Resident: The Long and Winding Road (2021)
Dang.. So painfully good
This show is still hands down the best medical drama on tv. My wife and I watch them all. Such a beautiful story.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Last Day Pt 1 (2021)
Agree. Finale Redeems Season
Overall, the final season was very sub par. However, the final episode was fantastic. Awesome job.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)
This Show is a 7 out of 8
Loved the first 7 seasons! Lots of funny stuff. The final season is unfortunately a low note for the show. I would definitely recommend the show, but feel free to stop before Season 8.
The Resident (2018)
So.. Stinkin Good. Season 4 is Excellent
Season 1 starts slow, but trust the process. By the time you get to Season 4, it's pure gold. A must watch. Significantly better than other medical traumas out right now. My wife and I watch most of the other ones and this ranks #1.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
Sadly, a Really Bad Episode
I love the show.. Hated seeing this. 100% woke culture.. Didn't even have jokes :/ I know the show has a strong liberal/progressive bent, but this was way too much..
The Tomorrow War (2021)
I Really Enjoyed It
Ya, I did chuckle at the endless gun magazines and a few plot concepts, but overall it was a great movie to watch. It's worth your time, and you won't be disappointed inviting your friends over and having a movie night. Chris Pratt was excellent.
Thunder Force (2021)
Clean Fun
Look, I get it. It's not the most exciting movie ever, but at least it's a movie that uses mostly family friendly content. Based on what Hollywood keeps pumping out, I appreciate that this is wholesome.
The Bachelor: After the Final Rose (2021)
It's a Tough One
I'm really hoping this episode was helpful for a lot of people and not just frustrating. Yes, it's the lowest rated 'After the Final Rose' in history (so far) but the conversations were pretty good. As a conservative straight white guy from the south, I think it was helpful.. I didn't feel like my demographic was attacked and I thought the topics were approached delicately and with respect.
There's probably a good chance that people view Matt James as a little unforgiving, and perhaps he was, but for a lot of people we don't understand his position. I didn't love the outcome and I would have liked to see his willingness to "grow" with her but I'm assuming there's more to the story. "You need work so I'm breaking up with you" most likely isn't the whole story, especially if we believe Rachael when she said she's put in a significant amount of work towards growing since the event. Personally, it felt like Matt may have been looking for a way out.
Overall, it's not as bad as the reviews say, but I would have liked to see a little more grace shown towards Rachael. I truly believe she didn't realize her photo was offensive and I think she's done the best she can. Glad they did their best to have open conversations.
The Good Doctor: Newbies (2020)
It's Mainly Anti-White Guys
I consider myself a progressive, but this was way too much.. They just flat out bullied the white guy. It wasn't even comedic. Things like this hurt the cause...This wasn't it Good Doctor. Dang.
A Teacher: Episode 10 (2020)
Good, But...
The most frustrating part of the show is character development. The supporting actors do a great job. I would have loved seeing twice the episodes with twice the story. Therefore, when we get pieces of their stories crammed together, it just makes you want more.
Overall, the plot is okay. I think Claire's reaction and self-centered view is spot on, but I'm not sure if Eric's response is fully realistic. Maybe it is a more accurate representation of how the average person would handle life going forward but I don't know. Seemed a little much given his age being 17/18 during their relationship.
It's worth watching and thinking through.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Takeback (2020)
Perfect Character Duo
Always great to see the dynamic between the two main characters of this episode. Very well done and enjoyable.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Ding Dong (2020)
Loved it
Didn't love hearing "Stupid Bible with stupid lessons never solved crap" but it was clearly said to be humorous. Not offensive in the scene, but some viewers may not like it. Truly a good episode.
The Orville: Lasting Impressions (2019)
Coulda Been a Movie
They knocked it out of the park with this one. I was skeptical in the beginning and wasn't initially on board with the plot but then I definitely bought in. Very well done
