Dýrið (2021)
Painfully uninteresting.
The only reason this film doesn't get a single star is because the cinematography deserves a star on its own. Nothing I mean literally nothing happens in this film. Leaving a short to the point review because it only merits it. A24 should return my money and if I could say one thing to them it would be, don't ever make a movie like this again.
It seems that making a film that is so abstract and boring, is garishly where movies are now a day but in fact is overly kitsch.
Don't get it twisted, this by no means is a Hereditary style or level of artistry movie but totally the opposite. So boring, nothing ever happens and you wait 100 minutes for the only thing to occur. It's maddening how you always think it's about to begin a story but they never answer anything only to leave everything up to interpretation. It's clear there's something happening behind what they show but never put an answer to your thought and leave you always wanting the movie to take off or do anything.
I was very excited as I always am for the next A24 oddity but this wasn't it and totally a disappointment. Please, leave these types of film to Ari Aster.
The Boys (2019)
Awesome answer to all the awful hero films out there.
One of the best unexpected supersizes I've seen in a long time. No apologize in this show everything passed expectations and not just because there were none. Very entertaining, can't get enough.
Superheroes gone bad and people turned semi good. Either way it's a great show and refreshing to see an R rated show like this.
Around the Next Bend (2012)
Very, super awful docu series.
So I'll begin by saying both of the "hosts" and "camera-men" are as close to brain dead as you can be without having an actual injury. They say in the series they prepared and planned for this trip for a full year yet set off sail in the dry season of India with zero food, no testing of any equipment and no clue on how to work their film gear. I highly suggest not watching this series as I wish it was at least some what made properly since I hope for the best of anyone trying something new.

Mid90s (2018)
Modern 90s Soap Opera, thumbs down
I wanted to love this movie but the only good part was in fact the score written by Mr Trent Rezner. The entire film started to feel like an incredibly over the top over dramatic soap opera that should've been middle age rich woman but instead it was wanna be LA skaters.
This was so poorly written, the dialogue was horrendous with nothing smart nor original to say. Everything was forced by trying to turn mediocrity into a special dramatic circumstance.
Jonah, ahhh buddy, stick to acting.
