The Batman (2022)
IT'S A MUST SEE MOVIE
What I love about this movie is that it draws you in. You actually feel like you are in Gotham City and involved with the characters in it.
It is so real and wonderful to be a part of the experience this movie gives you.
The Batman movie should be experienced in a cinema to really appreciate it.
Monstrous (2020)
THIS MOVIE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO WATCH
Again, thanks to the reviewers who rated this movie a 1,2 or 3 as that tells me it's a movie worth watching. And I know the reviews are not biased by friends of the producers.
It's true, you don't see Bigfoot much in this movie. But who cares when you have a couple of good looking girls as the lead actors. And they give us a good sensual acting performance.
The movie mainly follows the character development and relationship development of the two women and eventually the suspicion and doubt that develops until the revelation towards the end of the movie when Bigfoot comes into it.
You have to watch the movie to see what I mean without giving out spoilers.
The Jack in the Box (2019)
Good & Entertaining
This is a sort of movie that isn't the worst of its kind nor the best.
That's why I have it a 5.
Overall it entertaining enough to enjoy watching.
The characters are good and so is the story though predicible.
The Hive (2008)
This is a very good movie
Don't believe the awful reviews.
It seems those reviewers don't want the rest of us to watch and enjoy a very well made and entertaining movie.
As a matter of fact, in my opinion, based on its production budget it's awesome.
If it's a movie made by the Sy-Fy channel,, then I will make a point of watching every sc-fi movie that channel has ever made.
Some of the scenes pre-conceives ideas that are original and that others have used afterwards, for examples:
1. Were the ants communicate with the humans using 3D imagery - is similar to the idea used in the movie "Arrival" were the aliens communicate with the humans by the same means.
2. The ants use what looks like a quantum computer. Which was not mainstream computer jargon at the time this movie was made.
Cruel Will (2014)
Well done low budget horror
I enjoyed watching this one. It's better made than most other movies of the same type.
It centres around Paul and Lily, a married couple.
It's a trip towards madness and insanity of Paul, purportedly caused by the spirit of Lily's deceased father's spirit. And this seems to be due to the the fact that the lid to the urn that holds Lily's father's ashes has gone missing. This same urn that Lily bought home after her father's funeral.
It all seems that way, as I said, in true horror movie fashion.
Anyway, you have to live through all this and feel for poor Paul and also for Lily who has to put up with all this. Especially living with a disjointed husband.
You have to wait to about 5 minutes toward the end of the movie when things get a lot worse, because, yes folks, there is a twist.
D-Railed (2018)
More of a refined horror rather than the run of the mill mediocre ones
Don't believe any reviewer who tells you this movie is not worth watching.
Trust me, it's a good movie and worth watching.
It may not be in the style of a horror but it's not mediocre like most other horrors.
In my opinion it's well written, well acted with plenty of characters, well photographed and a monster thrown in to give it the horror genre.
But if anyone has any redneck or bogan tendancies, then it's definitely a waste of time.
Downrange (2017)
An entertaining sniper movie
This movie reminds me of another psycho sniper movie called "Targets". Actually one of Boris Karloff's last movies.
That one was about a sniper shooting from a hole behind the big screen at a drive-in movie cinema and killing people there, watching the movie in their cars.
Needless to say that was a better movie. But in my opinion this sniper movie is still very entertaining with it's many thrills and gory effects throughout.
The acting wasn't as bad as what a lot of reviewers make out. They must be drama movie aficionados and only want dialogue and only dialogue throughout.
Anyone who rates this as tripe seems to be unable to get into a movie that's entertaining and creative enough, for this type of genre.
Maybe go and watch a few romantic comedies.
Shortwave (2016)
Just go along with for the ride with Juanita
This is not a bad effort for the budget it had.
It keeps moving along nicely and kept me entertained most of the way.
Juanita Ringeling acted the lead role very well, and was quite likable and charming in that I did not mind going all the way with her through the movie, even in her most gruesome scenes.
The movie may have tried to do to much what it had at its disposal, but still I would recommend to watch.
