The Ex-Wife (2022)
Did a ten year old write this?
I have seen many stupid shows, more often from American producers , but this may be the dumbest show I have ever seen. All of the characters are stupid, unlikeable, predictable and dull. Everyone is duplicitous and obviously so. There's one scene where the main looney tune is in some sort of indoor children's amusement park and she asks some random stranger to watch her kid while she looks for the ex wife. She returns and the kid is gone. Second time his has happened to her. Required characters are one hundred and three more so you just keep writing stuff to meet the minimum requirements necessary.
As We See It (2022)
Insulting
One would hope, in 2022, that neurodiverse individuals could be portrayed with the sensitivity and understanding that they deserve, but no, it's better to go for the cheap laugh. The script sounds as if it was written by a dimwitted high school boy or a mean girl. There's no nuance here, just obvious, stereotypical stuff that is exaggerated and poorly performed.
Mr. Corman (2021)
I almost never give 10's
I love this show. Josh is so authentic, because JGL nails ever facial expression, mannerism, verbiage, you name it, and brings this anxious character to life.
Clickbait (2021)
So ridiculous
Yes it keeps your attention. It has the usual twists and turns. Multiple red herrings. But in the end it's so stupid, thanks Netflix for insulting our intelligence.
The Chair (2021)
Insulting to one's intelligence
I was really looking forward to this series, but it was so bad that I had to force myself to finish the first episode. I understand that this is satire but one of the lead characters is like 1992 Kramer, all "slap sticky" and he's supposed to be a revered professor in a prestigious liberal arts college. It's so unfunny that it's irritating. And of course there's the impossibly precocious, bratty child who is so much wiser than the adults around her because everyone else on this show is an idiot.
Battle on the Beach (2021)
Can't be serious
First of all, it's very obvious that they try to make sure each "team" gets a win or else the last episode wouldn't matter, so it's obviously not a real competition. There are some design concepts that are clearly dangerous and would never pass inspection but only a small portion of those are discussed. Ty Pennington's voice is like nails on a chalkboard and he's always screaming. Why? So bad, but there's nothing else on.
American Detective with Lt. Joe Kenda (2021)
Ugh, Homicide Hunter this is not.
Joe Kenda is just the narrator, he has nothing to do with actual police work. This show is absolutely disgusting, with gratuitous re-enactments of very disturbing crimes. Way overboard on the depiction of the murders, absolutely disgusting.
Tunn is (2020)
Animals get shot, graphic scenes
No thanks, I prefer not seeing bears and dogs shot.
Kiri (2018)
Ultimately, the ending is just so bad
This is one of those series with great acting, red herrings, implausible outcomes that just ends stupidly. Don't waste your time.
Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Waste of Talent
There is nothing in this series that bares any resemblance to reality. The dialogue, the motives, the storyline etc., are all incredibly unbelievable. The acting is solid with the exception of Kerry Washington whose mouth contorts into a half sneer ever millisecond. The characters are, mostly, unlikeable. It is loaded with stereotypes and you will find your eyes rolling uncontrollably.
Liar (2017)
Ridiculous
This is an insult to your intelligence. I wish I hadn't wasted three hours on this garbage. Real people don't act like any of the characters on this show. The story is manipulative and contrived.
A Teacher (2013)
A Garbage
Who writes this crap? First indication that you can "turn it off now" is when they superimpose teenage social media messages on screen.
Away (2020)
Lipstick
Hilary Swank seems to have time to apply lipstick in space and command a crew! She even has lipstick with her space helmet on! She has lipstick before she goes to bed and lipstick still on when she awakes in the morning!
Love Fraud (2020)
Let me save you the trouble
BO-RING
Could have been told in one film but they dragged it out. I stopped after episode 2. I'm sorry there are so many desperate fools out there who fell for this guy, but I am not going to be suckered into watching this tedious show.
Class Action Park (2020)
If you have nothing left to watch ... read a book
Literally looks like it was produced by middle school kids for a class project. The footage is really old and crappy and there are animations that are so amateurish that the middle schoolers would have gotten an F. The narrative is repetitive and this is an all around fail.
Down to Earth with Zac Efron (2020)
Wow that's cool bro
Zac Efron adds little to this show except for poofy hair, in which case they could have saved some money and hired a French Poodle.
He referred to a spry centenarian as a "cool chick" and everything is "mind blown." Grow up.
Never Have I Ever (2020)
Are you serious?
This is just really disappointing. The acting is not quite on par with my local high school theater kids, Westport Staples Players are awesome. I feel sorry for the actors having to recite their dialogue because the writing sounds like it was written by kids in some remedial English class. The actors are too old for their roles, one of them is 29 and the others are also in their twenties. All in all, this is just a mess, had Mindy Kaling not been the creator this would never have been greenlighted.
How did this get stellar reviews?
Defending Jacob (2020)
Ridiculous
The show will keep your interest but not for the right reasons. The acting is average. The actors playing his parents are too young. The kid is unlikeable and the plot has a ton of holes. Spoiler alert....
So the kid stumbles upon a dead classmate, touches the body, but doesn't mention this to anyone...
The father, you know the district attorney, takes evidence and tosses it in a neighbor's trash can, and leaves it unwrapped on top of the garbage bag
The father of a boy who is a classmate of the victim is allowed to head the case (initially)
Murder gene 🤣
The kid hides in a playground by sitting on a swing
Let me know when any of this makes sense.
Human Capital (2019)
One of the worst films I've ever seen
Stopped with a half an hour left. There are so many subplots and the movie switches back and forth in time it literally is nauseating to watch. There is nothing linear, everyone is miserable, do not even bother.
Deep Water (2019)
Utterly Stupid
Low budget Big Little Lies. Desperate women and nasty men. Each character is flat and the storyline is predictable. Also the massage therapist actress looks like Matt Damon's twin sister.
Modern Love (2019)
Love love love
Superstar casts, short but sweet stories about all different types of love. I really want to download the theme song but it's nowhere to be found. My favorite was the first one with the doorman but they're all really satisfying.
Stranger Things: Chapter Six: E Pluribus Unum (2019)
Joyce
Why is Joyce braless in all the running scenes? Also, the mayor looks like a twin of the head of the newspaper...
Dead to Me (2019)
Started off promising
Nope. This is a wannabe Big Little Lies. Snarky woman, ditsy woman, bratty kid, innocent kid, bad boyfriend, bad husband, impossibly expensive, over the top homes, California scenery.
The plot is ridiculously predictable, I figured out what would happen in each subsequent episode. A character like Jen, would never go to a support group like the one depicted. Who lets someone they don't know, move into their home, especially with kids at home?
The Coroner (2015)
Meh
How is that the coroner's mother is fifty six and the daughter is forty three? The characters are very cartoony and the plot is very predictable. Nice scenery, though!
Camping (2018)
Painful
I can't believe these actors signed up for this. The writers try to make as many pop culture references as possible and the dialogue is awkward and forced. Real people don't speak like this. Jennifer Garner is awful in the lead. David Tennant is miscast. There's a bratty kid. Try to watch without gagging.
