Tactical Force (2011)
A mediocre action-comedy to kill time
NOTICE: If you are looking for a high budget tactical operations movie with hundreds of crew, do not watch this movie, instead go try some Denzel Washington movie. But notice that this movie's budget is not somewhere near what Denzel is paid for a movie. I do not even mention if you are looking for a Goldener Bär or Academy Award Nominate. This movie itself DOES NOT aim such a thing.
The movie is actually a short story of 4 careless officer (3 guys + 1 woman) who love more action and less thinking. Most of us are used to watching action movies in which there are clever S.W.A.T. officers who always put the hostages' (even criminal's) safety as priority during their operations. But heroes of this movie are exact of opposite of this model. I mean they are looking for more action even they lose a team member. This intent behind the hard-look of those policemen gives the viewers an absurd feeling, and I must say I liked it.
I do not want to go too deep about the technical aspects but I can say that the acting is O.K. (Especially M. Jai White's acting and Lexa Doig's beauty worth mentioning) Musics and sound effects fit the action. Dialogues are usually silly (But again usual for this kind of action), similarly storyline is predictable, but that does not really disturbs while following.
Well, I'd like to say this movie is worth watching if you like non-stop action, and if you are not looking for real art. 5.5/10
Tonî Takitani (2004)
"Loneliness" is best told using "Minimalism", proves Ichikawa
Which one is harder: being lonely or the idea of being lonely again, when you are finally not? Ichikawa gives you this simple thought. Your being aware of existence of such comparison makes you uncomfortable already.
Since I am not a regular reviewer, I will not go into cinematic techniques etc. But I am so sure that the strongest part of this movie is the music. It is so pure, which makes it fit with the story so well. (The original score is composed by infamous Sakamoto Ryuichi. The songs are monotonous but dramatic. If music was science, I would say this man's piano is of the most "efficient".)
If you like minimalist movies -which are simple, warm and well written; you will probably like this one.
8/10 well deserved
Killerdeului suda (2001)
An Excellent Crime-Comedy
Killerdeului suda is a story of four friends, who are professional killers. The story is not a masterpiece but it is "unbelievable" and funny. There is no way one does not enjoy this kind of script.
The movie is not like any other crime movies. Those four guys are really unique. They always whine about being professional but in fact they are friendly and kind more than professional.
The play of the other actors/actresses in the movie worth mentioning, they really fit the four guys and the background. Also, the music -especially theme song-, camera techniques and anything i forgot to mention is flawless.
This movie is so good! Please watch it if you have not, i still can't believe I missed it since 2001.
