Dunki (2023)
Worst from Hirani
Hirani said 'If you watched 3 idiots 100 times, then you'll watch Dunki 120 times'. I am saying that if you watched 3 idiots 100 times, then you shouldn't even watch this movie for once. This movie is no comparison to any of Hirani's previous movies. There's no emotion and laughter in this movie, all of them are just forced. There are actually lots of silly and childish jokes. Shah Rukh Khan's character in early age reminded me of his character from movie 'Zero'. Boman Irani is a very talented actor, so, I expected a lot from his character, but his character was completely wasted. His character had no match to previous Hirani movies. People will never remember this movie, mark my words.
Doctor Strange (2016)
Might be a mistake
Though I had no intention to watch this movie, but I watched it to understand about Dr Strange to watch Spiderman:No way home. T'was a decent watch. But I think I found a huge mistake. When Dr Strange and Kaecilius were fighting in the mirror as well as dark dimension, we saw that Kaecilius took the sling ring from Dr Strange, but after it was seen that Dr Strange used the sling ring to enter the Hong Kong sanctum along with Mordo to fight Kaecilius in the dark dimension.
The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002)
Something's fishy
Though the movie is quite good, but I have two objections. First of all, there's hardly any mention of Ashfaqullah khan, who was one of the prominent fellows of Hindustan Republican Army or Association, founded by Ram Prasad Bismil. He was involved in Kakori Train Robbery and because of this he was hanged later. There's no mention of him in this movie. Secondly, in a scene of this movie it's seen that Bhagat Singh, played by Ajay Devgan, is renaming Hindustan Republican Army or Association as Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, which is incorrect, because t'was renamed by Chandrasekhar Azad, not by Bhagat Singh.
Mirzapur: King of Mirzapur (2020)
Blunder
I think there is a huge technical mistake in this episode. When Guddu Tripathi was holding Inspector Maurya and pointing a gun to him, there were two police inspectors behind him. One of them could have easily shot him.
Newton (2017)
Thought provoking
The story of this film is original but the idea or concept is loosely based on an Iranian film named SECRET BALLOT(2001). I personally prefer Newton over that movie. I rated this movie full marks because many butthurts from right ideology had downvoted this movie.
Kvinden i buret (2013)
Nothing special.
Not a great movie and nothing special. This movie has no any suspense and is very predictable. Basically this is a Danish version of Korean movie Old Boy. If you watched that movie then you will regret after watching this movie. Also how can a girl survive for almost 5 years in a chamber with not that much of provision?
No One Killed Jessica (2011)
Dull movie
The court room drama scene is very pathetic. The judge, prosecute and defence lawyers seemed very immature by their performances. During the four year court session, we see not a single question was asked to the main accused. This is very strange. Some of the eye-witnesses changed their statements which they had said in the police station, in the court under the influence of hush money. Many of the people including the investigating officer played by Rajesh Sharma in the court room protested against them. Four years later when the journalist, played by Rani Mukerji, was investigating the case, was given the recording of the prime accused confessing his crime to that investigating officer by that investigating officer. If it's so, then why didn't he present the audio clip four years ago while he was protesting? That's a very big loophole.
Karwaan (2018)
Nonsensical and very confusing movie
This is a very unrealistic, nonsensical and illogical movie. This movie at the very first will give you an increasing enthusiasm but becomes very misleading as it advances. This movie has nothing new to offer, just a usual crap movie. This movie shows there is a marriage between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl, Rumana Salim, who earlier had a relationship with one of the protagonists, Avinash, played by Dulquer Salman. Shaukat, played by Irrfan khan, falls in love with a Muslim woman named Tasneem who is shown as the third wife of an old aged man. I know the makers of this movie tried to joke about Muslims, but in reality hardly any Muslim man performs polygamy, even the data and statistics don't support the populous claim about Muslims. The characters Tanya Moiden Kutty and her mother, Tahira Moiden Kutty are seen to perform their mother's and grandmother's(respectively) funeral is Hindu way, this is very idiotic because I think those are Muslim characters. I was just laughing during the these scenes. It's not like that the makers of the movie don't know about Muslim funeral, it's more like they deliberately and intentionally tried to mock Muslims. Moreover it's told in the movie that Tanya's grandmother alone was going to a Hindu pilgrimage, I mean WHAT THE HELL!? Muslim men are shown very violent and wife beaters in this movie. This movie promotes islamophobia and mockery of Muslims in a subtle way.
Leila (2019)
This is not what you think, do give it a watch!
Firstly I had no intention to watch this series and I hardly write any reviews, but I have seen on social media platforms and a few review channels where this series has been portrayed as Anti-Hindu and nothing else, so I thought giving it a try to get to know what the fuss is all about. Just finished watching the whole series, I must clarify that this series is not even remotely near to Anti-Hindu sentiments. I guarantee you most of the people who downvoted this series haven't watched it, they just danced to the tune of right-wing idiots. This is a story of a woman whose daughter was snatched years ago by a group of people who belong to Aryabhart using their prerogative and the journey of her finding her daughter. Throughout her journey I became very obsessed, involved, gripped and sometimes emotional with the character played brilliantly by Huma Qureshi. Also the relation between the people of Aryabhart and Doosh sort of reminded of a drama named 'Guru' written by Rabindranath Tagore. I know it's not an over the top series but a very good one. Do have a watch. Eagerly awaiting part two.
Le trou (1960)
Poor Gaspard!!
Claude Gaspard is the newest inmate to the prison and gets befriended with other four prisoners in the cell. Firstly he used to live in other block, then he was transferred. He was accused of attempted first degree murder, charged by his wife. So, the total five prisoners try hard their best to become escapists. At last, when their way of escape accomplishes, Claude Gaspard is escorted to the warden and there he's told that his wife lifted the charges against him, however the court finds it difficult to believe in the allegation made by his wife. Now he's free to go and he will make it with the other inmates except Geo. When they are ready to escape from the jail, they get caught red handed. Claude Gaspard was then transferred to a new block and you would feel sorry for him as Ronald says 'Poor Gaspard'. The hardship of their works to escape from the prison will get any spectator on nerves to the deepest. This movie will engage you utterly to the core and you will be in a state of 'nail-biting' and wondering what will happen next or will they be successful in their work?
Queen (2013)
R.A.N.I = Really Am Not Interested(Spoilers may contain)
I personally didn't intend to watch this garbage but as the rating is so high and overrated, I had to waste almost my two and a half hours. The movie was quite interesting till Rani landed in Paris. Then cliché dramas and boring entertainments took place in this movie and the direction of this movie somehow got lost. No story or no plot-line, slow and quite predictive. There were many unnecessary party scenes which might give you headache. Rani, a who reached the critical age of marriage, did not know or was afraid to cross the road in Paris. What the hell was she doing all her life in India? I think the director lost materials to this movie. Why the heck Rani was talking in Hindi to foreigners, I just don't get it. Lisa Hayden aka Vijaylakhsmi(in this movie) just irritated me. The protagonist was told to give a parcel to a prostitute in Amsterdam by Vijaylakshmi when she had her lonely honeymoon, a redundant part of this movie. In Amsterdam she met an Italian cook who was asking what else Rani wanted to eat and then a boring dialogue took place. Oh my God, Don't Italians eat chilies? After that the cook asked her to cook for him for one day to earn a few money, just because he liked the food recipients she told her. So why the hell was he running a restaurant if he hadn't believe in himself in cooking? In the end there were three technical mistakes i noticed but perhaps the readers won't like these. 1st, she called the tall fair guy 'Sikander' unknowing his Russian name yet she mentioned in one of her Facebook posts 'Olexander' which was his correct name. 2nd, the protagonist gave Vijaylakshmi her own dress which is seen in the movie poster but the protagonist was seen in one of her Facebook posts wearing that same dress. 3rd, the protagonist's Facebook account showed us that she had some eighteen friends but the amount of likes her each and every post got were more than the number i wrote.
