Yellowstone: One Hundred Years Is Nothing (2022)
I hope the son grows a spine
Okay. This review is also based on how the story ended in the last season and the progression. I have loved this series from episode one.
The daughter is amazingly nasty. One son seems grounded and the other is a mess. It does not compute that a seemingly smart attorney makes such bad decisions. Lets remember he gave his sister permission to hate him. Where are they leading us with this? The power to walk away seems to be lost and I know I have said this so I am looking forward to other story lines emerging in this series and this season. I keep watching and hoping for more and better plots. I really love the depth of challenges presented to this family and I hope that remains the trend.
The Old Guard (2020)
A Gift and a Curse
The story line is really good and I am looking forward to the next one.
This has everything, a gift, a curse, a blessing, love and of course lots of action.
It really sheds light on the fact that, when you make a deal with the devil, expect to be betrayed and we can all be the Devil sometimes.
But we can also be Jesus.
I loved it.
Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019)
There are so so many ways this could have been better
I wonder why I waited for this. If the movie took so long to release they should have put more thought into it. It boils down, poorly, to bad guys doing bad things to good people, good people making bad decisions and then bad guys getting getting beaten and broken up. ..... the end
Iron Fist (2017)
Could have been much better
With all the experience Marvel has, this story should have been much better. Why prolong a fight with pointless conversation. Why have a fight where none is required. The story is all over the place.
What do you do if you know the person guarding your gateway is gone. How is he the guard if he is not worthy. Why is there only one guard.
Why is the guard so immature. Should the responsibility not rest with someone with more reasoning.
What about that vow of chastity.
If you are told to kill someone by cutting off their head, how can you forget that especially if you have been through hell with them. Someone should have been dismembered before being burnt.
The only duality they achieved was to show how intelligent people can still do stupid things and have Zen like conversations while doing this.
It is true, you can have everything and things will still go wrong. This is what I get from this series.
A little bit of more work could have gone a long way.
