The Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands (2019)
"A new way to go..."
This was awesome. I loved every moment of it. It brought many things to the series I didn't see coming and some elements I kind of maybe sort of predicted would happen happened. The guard grew up and it's great to see a progression of these characters as we've watched them all these years and seeing that they actually did age. Also, Janja is now reformed and it was just as glorious a reformation as I expected, especially thanks to the graceful vocal talents of Andrew Kishino as Janja, who's confused nature and awkward demeanor made for probably my favorite appearance of Janja in the entire series Also, Jasiri and him had really good chemistry in all the scenes that they were in together, especially involving the whole Sisi Ne Sawa thing. Scar's final moments in this special were quite intriguing and we got to see a bit of backstory and how he got his scar and of course the same method used to give him a scar was also employed to Kion who now has to learn to control his anger and must fight the rest of the season probably to ensure he is capable of handling his roar lest his friends be put at risk. Also, the rest of the Pride Landers as well as the Outlanders get to see some developments as well - they've grown like the guard, not so much in their appearance but in their ability to unify with each other which is great to see. The musical numbers here are also some of Beau Black's best work, not much to say about that. Really, that's all I've got on my feelings toward this special. It delivered everything I was hoping to see from this series with a few unexpected surprises here and there. I really said all I have to say. Go see it, and as always, till the Pride Lands End, Lion Guard defend!
The Angry Video Game Nerd: EarthBound (2018)
Fantastic heartfelt and funny episode.
This episode was a surprisingly deep look at what feels like a genuinely deep game. Also, the reference to classic Nerd episodes was wonderful too. Easily one of James' best videos in my eyes.
Bobsheaux (2012)
A review series with fun and great info-tainment
Here is a review series that is well-written, well-paced, and is both fun and informative: infotaining, if you will! Bob gets to the point and really tries to find the best in everything in whatever he reviews. He talks from a sophisticated view and treats each piece of entertainment with a sense of real world knowledge and creative abilities. From Tentacolino to Freaks to Agent F.O.X. to Cool Cat Saves the Kids, this is one review show with all the laughs, creativity, and just all around informativeness of a great web series. Highly Recommended! 10 out of 10. A review show for anyone who is looking for laughs and a need to spend a half hour with a cool guy with a true sense of artistic sensibilities. Bob is my number one guy!
