Bitva za Sevastopol (2015)
This movie was more about romance than WWII.
The first 30 minutes movie was actually pretty good. But then the movie transformed into romantic drama with war moving into background. Lady Death's romance took up about 60% of the movie, with 20% being war and 20% being her time in the U.S. Why not take the opportunity to focus on her time as a soldier, rather than her time as a "woman"?
That being said the good parts were well done and it's hard to believe that the scenes were done with such a limited budget. I think a remake should be made with much more funding and a different director.
The movie fell well short of its potential and I would not recommend the movie.
Mad Men (2007)
Up to season 3 is good. Rest is redundant
I'm on season 5 now, and ever since the end of S3 it's been downhill. It was good, really good. But now everything now feels redundant and over the top. Core of it all are endless scandals and a garden variety of inequality that is highlighted against the 21st century, and the snowball keeps rolling and same thing happens over and over again.
Also a notable stain appears in the form of Glen. Terrible actor, even for a child actor, looks creepy as hell (complements his character persona I suppose), and the character does nothing to enhance the show. Instead it's a nasty stain that I would love to see removed.
You can stop after S3, because everything else will just take up your time. I will stop watching after S5.
Space Pirate Captain Harlock (2010)
Story is so so but still very worth watching
This movie cost 30 million dollars. Was the money well spent? Yes and no. Artists involved were excellent. I mean it was just magnificent. Overall directing and story line could have been much much better however. I'm really hoping for a sequel with better director and writers.
If you love space opera, you won't even notice the blemishes by aforementioned faults.
Apparently IMDb requires 10 lines so here. you. go. Thanks.
How are you? It's Monday here. Is it Monday there too?
Jesus let me post already.
Chuck (2007)
Wanted to shoot myself
I don't know how you guys made it through but I came out scarred. I finished it on Netflix because one, it was free and two, I had already watched too many to surrender. I trudged on, tortured, and in the end, I regret the decision.
First two or three seasons were good but more annoying. Jesus I couldn't stand Chuck and Ellie so much that I was cheering for the bad guys for the entire time. I knew how stupid the script would be written, but there were sweet moments when Chuck and Ellie would suffer.
I might've liked it as a child though.
