My Kitchen Rules (2017)
A waste of time
I love my kitchen rules, Australia, and New Zealand contestants. There are average people.
Why couldn't they do it that way here? They got a bunch of not even be 'celebrities' more like C or D List people. I wouldn't even like it if they did it with major celebrities. What is the problem With using normal people, average people? I imagine if they did it the way they do it in Australia and New Zealand, there would be a lot more episodes because a lot more people would watch.
The American version is a waste of time. There's kind of American versions of the Australian and New Zealand show the block but they're nowhere near as good or fun to watch.
Just William (2010)
Really good!
Watch this with my grandson, who was the same age as the main character at the time we watched it. He loved it and wanted more episodes. We've all known kids like this I think or maybe we've been kids like this or had brothers like this
Not sure why we were required to have so many letters in our reviews. It should be just good enough to say it was really good. Watch it with your kids the preteen ones or if you have a weird sense of humor, anyway watch it his older siblings were kind of annoying, but that can often be the case. I personally wish they were more episodes, but the main character would be way too old now to do that!
They Came Together (2014)
Crap!
OK, so this is supposed to be satire. Sadly, it was really bad. I don't mind either one of these actors. Normally I like them but this oh my gosh I wouldn't recommend it to anybody!
There were a couple funny parts, but to be honest with you I just finished watching it and I can't even tell you what those parts were. My guess is that this is supposed to be a really bad Hallmark movie. And it is really bad. I shouldn't have wasted my time watching it.
I would not let a child watch it because of some of the language and sex. It was a complete waste of my time.
I cannot think of a single person I would ever recommend this to.
The Claremont Murders (2023)
Absolutely heartbreaking
This is a very sad story, and I hope the one family can finally get closure in the not too distant future. Any murder is, of course, extremely sad and disgusting. There's never an excuse. I personally do not believe in the death penalty, which is probably not an option in Australia anyway. In my opinion, a person that commits murder should just sit in a prison with no chance of getting out and living a life that they could've had if they didn't do such terrible things. I can only imagine the grief of the families who have lost loved ones to murder. I even feel sorry for the family members of the murderer. If they were good people which is not always the case I don't think it's that unusual for a murderer to have had a violent or very terrible childhood.
Quest for Atlantis: Lost Kingdoms, Buried Treasures and Mysterious Artifacts (2023)
Interesting but....
Only a very small portion is about Atlantis. The rest is about lost nations or cultures around the world.
It is definitely interesting but if you're looking for something specifically about only Atlantis, this is not it.
But it's only a little over an hour long, so not a huge waste of time. There were mentions of cultures that I never even heard of before, so that was good. If you like unusual or mysterious history, you'll probably enjoy this. It would've been interesting. If some of the people that were mentioned as believers in these lost kingdoms or discovers of them would have been shown talking about it instead of just the narrator.
All in all, I do not regret watching this.
Beyond Paradise: Christmas Special (2023)
Wonderful!
This is without doubt one of the best Christmas shows I've seen in a long time. Very sweet and heartwarming. When I started watching, I didn't expect anything like what this turned out to be.
Breakin with nothing stolen? Sweet little boy, held by the police until they can find out who he is, and in the end, he has tied the Break-ins, but I can't imagine in a way you could expect.
All of the characters are likable in their own way. I've been a fan of death in Paradise for a long time and didn't expect to like this show anywhere near as much as I do. And this episode is the best by far. Watch it!
EXmas (2023)
I enjoyed it except for...
I enjoyed this, and it had a bit of humor. The thing that I like most was at the conversations between the people seemed for real, not just scripted. I mean, they were scripted, of course, but they didn't sound like it.
What I didn't like is that so many movies seem to be pushing the gay agenda. If someone were to come here from another planet and watched this movie and so many others these days they would think that a much higher percentage of the population was gay than it actually is.
Other than that there was something very different about this movie. The conversations seemed real, not just scripted as I said.
Mrs Sidhu Investigates (2023)
Really good!
I don't know why it is, but I rarely ever watching American murder mystery anymore. The British Australian, New Zealand, and South African murder mysteries are the best, and they also tend to just a wee bit of humor now due to the fact that Mrs. Sidhu is a caterer, and her stuff looks really good. You might get hungry while you watch this but nonetheless it's good.! Her relationship with her son is also pretty entertaining. Acorn has some really good mystery shows and this is a good addition to the list. The actress playing Mrs. Sidhu is good and very believable. Don't remember the last time I watched an American murder mystery, other than the simple ones on the Hallmark Channel.
Squeaky Clean Mysteries: Hazardous Duty (2022)
I hope they make more episodes
I enjoyed this movie and really do hope they make other episodes. I mean it's not a movie is ever going to be nominated for an Academy award in the actors are the best in the world, but they're good, and it was enjoyable with some humor.
I seem like an American taken Australian show that I watched, but that was only one season.
Was unfamiliar with all the actors and actresses, but I enjoyed them all. Also nice is that it appears to have actually been filmed here in the US instead of Canada I'll never understand why when they film a movie in Canada they try to pretend it's the US why can't they just say it's a Canadian location?!
Wonder Park (2019)
Poorly developed storyline
They should've taken more time with the story. The mother goes away supposedly sick but they never visit her and suddenly she comes back and everything's fine no explanation. I wanted to like this, but would never recommend and my daughter and grandsons agreed. The only saving grace was it was my grandson's first time at a drive-in theater
