Motherland (2010)
A film to see
What a wonderful piece of art from Shahadah and his team. For those of you who want to see the truth about Africa then this is the film to see.
It is a combination of knowledge and experience from the director and some of the best intellectuals minds of African decent. It is suitable for people of all ages and cultures. I recommend this film to all audiences.
Shahadah has done it again. His usual quest for the truth is evident in this work. Films about Africa have never been approached in this context.
I congratulate the directors , the writers and the actors that have all made this work of art.
Our Story Our Voice (2007)
An Insight into the truth
Our story our voice brings to the forefront the problems that the world is facing today. These problems are related to every social situation in present day civilisation. In first and third world countries and in developing nations. In watching this documentary, one becomes aware of inner thoughts that were not expressed in the past. It opens up the mind into realistic thinking with a knowledge that we are all affected in some way.
Thanks to film makers such as Owen Shahadah, we are more aware of our hidden thoughts and wellbeing in an artificial world with false security. This awareness has left me with a thirst for more knowledge as well as a kinship to my fellow man. It teaches love in a world where there is hatred, and instills a certain togetherness in the world.
I recommend this documentary to any one who cares about mankind and the future.
The Idea (2006)
Interesting
The idea ia a very short film with a lot of information. Interesting, entertaining and leaves the viewer wanting more. The producer has produced a short film of excellent quality that cannot be compared to any other short film that I have seen. I have rated this film at the highest possible rating. I also recommend that it is shown to office managers and business people in any establishment. What comes out of it is the fact that people with ideas are never listened to, their voice is never heard. It is a lesson to be learned by any office that wants to go forward. I hope that the produced will produce a second part to this 'idea'. I look forward to viewing the sequence. Once again congrats to Halaqah media in producing a film of excellence and quality with a lesson in mind.
500 Years Later (2005)
An excellent documentary
500 years is the best documentary I have ever seen. It is informative, educational, entertaining and colourful. It is suitable for all audiences.
The exceptional way the documentary is put together leaves one in awe of the producer and his assistants.
There is inclusion of academics, ordinary people, school children and people of different races. This diversity is refreshing and stimulating. Apart from that the various scenes and places of interest bring an insight into the way others live.
500 years is exceptional and educational, I would recommend that people of all races and cultures go to see this documentary, and that it is introduced in schools around the world
