Alan Wake II (2023 Video Game)
10/10
Wow.
28 November 2023
I enjoyed this game from start to finish. Voice acting, including side roles are just fantastic, the casting was perfect. It's like a mix of "Dark" and "True detective". Although the game is not short at all, I just wish it lasted forever because the story will drag you into the "Dark place". Sam Lake's monologues are a piece of art and I wonder how this guy isn't given a major movie role. I'm glad he's still in great shape and this gives me hope of maybe some future Max Payne projects?. If you wanna watch a great TV show or movie and blast away dark forces, well don't wait any longer and give this game a go ASAP!

Terrible
6 August 2023
This movie is a major dissapointment, and this is coming from someone that actually liked the first part. Statham was pretty good in the first part and some of his jokes were really spot on there, but not in this one. When main characters are so annoying that you want them to be eaten, you know that the director has no idea what he is doing. The dialogs are terrible, the jokes are pathetic, even the effects are not that great. I expected a summer / shark movie, yet it became an underwater transporter/matrix and I am not saying this in a good way.

I would strongly recommend you to skip this, as there many better things to watch and save your money.

What's with the negative reviews?
22 July 2023
Based on the rating and tons of negative reviews, I expected this to be a major dissapointment. However I decided to give it chance because of Nicolaj Coster - Waldau, who has surprised me with some excellent roles before (Shot Caller). I understand people's frustration as they have seen the version that is 2 and a half hours long, but there is a one of an hour and 47 minutes which is excellent. If you are a fan of 80's and 90's action/revenge /old Mad Max movies vibe, give this one a chance (at least the shorter version) and you might find yourself entertained and pleased. At least I have....

Fun to watch!
29 March 2023
This is a classic sports/comedy/drama with a good cast and enjoyable moments. If you watched The Way Back(2020),Rebound(2005) and others you can see a lot of similarities between these. The ending was great and very inspirative, but the movie lacked a bit more depth in the characters, especially side ones which are having presumably difficulties in social and everyday life due to their disabilities. Portraying this would make a heartbreaking movie, but the director opted for a more fast paced and fun Tempo. Finally Champions is a very fun watch and I gave it a bit lower rating because this is actually a remake of Spanish movie called "Campeones" which I recommend you see.

A bitter candy!
2 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
An innocent young girl appears at a truck stop which is occupied by sexual predators and workers, what could go wrong? Obviously, everything. Althought the story is an open road that clearly shows and points to where it's gonna end, there are things to be liked. Perhaps the thing that missed the most here was the mystery of Why and Where? But director decided the lay the cards on the table from start which took away the needed tension. Almost every possible stereotype has been put into this movie and I have to admit this is not for everyone, so be careful who you watch it with. One thing is certain, this is not your typical everyday movie and it is recommended for someone who wants to see something new and out of the ordinary.

Male audience might like it.
31 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I know some celebrities like Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson have a lot of admirers worldwide, so having them aboard on the same movie is gonna cause a lot of attention and intrigue. However their parts here are only superficial and have no connection, like most part of this movie. The movie itself was all over the place and felt like director was coming up with ideas along the way, instead of having the whole project done and know what he was after from the beginning. Ashley Benson showing off her "assets" in front of the Webcam, although pleasing to the men's eye isn't enough reason to recommend this movie.

Night Train (I) (2023)

Not bad as you think!
27 January 2023
To be honest I only gave this movie a chance because I taught the main actress (Danielle C. Ryan) was gorgeous, and I was right. The movie starts with a story all over the place and you have no idea who is who, but after a slow and in my opinion, a bad start, they picked up a pace and I'm glad I didn't quit after 30 minutes. Two leading actresses gave very solid performances, also some of the supporting cast also did a reasonable job, which was a bit of a surprise because of the terrible rating this movie has. There are also some very well written dialogues between characters, also another surprise that a B rated movie gets emotional and deeply thought on few occasions. If you expect something spectacular and blockbuster action and effects, well this is not for you, if you lower your expectations and have some free time to spend Night Train isn't that terrible.

Visual spectacle!
13 January 2023
Well, the name Avatar definitely has become a synonym for visual and special effects masterpiece. Everything you expect from this part to visually deliver, it has delivered. And beyond that. Watching this movie in 3D is an unique experience that no movie can ever compete with. But not everything was sweet and butter here, as the movie was dragged out more then it should be. Around the half of the movie is where they lost my attention and all the hype and excitement started to drop. I can easily recommend this to everyone as Avatar is and always will be a unique visual experience, but if you want to be amazed, surprised or shocked by some outwardly twists and spinoffs, you won't be. Enjoy it for what it is.

Gets better towards the end.
9 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Perhaps the main problem with this movie was casting. Powell did a reasonable job, "not great not terrible" but I expected more from Jonathan Majors as he was supposed to carry this movie as a lead role. Occasionally it felt like he was trying to hard to make an impact and that gave away the feeling he didn't manage to portray that Jessie Brown character. Some shots were gorgeous but some lacked more detail which would bring you right into the scenary and make you feel like you're actually on an aircraft carrier or the plane itself. Final conversation (between Tom and Daisy) was a masterpiece, and after the credits role there are some interesting facts which director must have had added into the movie(their children and grandchildren are still friends etc). In the end watching this movie was fun, maybe it lacked a bit better(star cast) to be outstanding, but still, it's worth your time.

Medieval (2022)

Bohemian Robbin Hood
30 December 2022
Ben Foster has had some excellent roles throughout his career and it is always a welcome to see him on screen, as lately he started taking more projects which is good because in my opinion he is a good actor. The movie itself was very much entertaining and had some gruesome and brutal scenes which is something you expect from a medieval movie. In the final quarter of the movie there are some solid twists and the ending itself was good, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The part I didn't like was the pacing which was way to quick in most parts and the dialogues had to be much better for a movie of this genre. Entire acting crew along with side roles was good, but the director had to be more creative with their speeches and dialogs. Shame that director didn't create something spectacular when he had all the means to do so, but I still think that Medieval is a fun watch.

Boiling point meets Desperate Housewifes meets Mr & Mrs Smith
19 December 2022
Well, seeing Don Johnson and Olga Kurylenko work on the same project is always tempting and interesting, however doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a winning combination. This movie is kind of a mixture between Mr & Mrs Smith meets Desperate Housewifes meets Boiling Point. The director wanted to put this all together and hope for a fun outcome, but it ended up being a drag although it is only 80 minutes... The side roles appear suddenly like they fall from the sky with no whatsoever background story or connection, just a few sentences between them to get it over with. The story is the cheesiest possible and reminds of an old school action movies when everyone was a former KGB or Cia agent etc.. In the end very boring and dragged out movie although with Don and Olga on board had the potential for more fun.

Decent
16 December 2022
Although this is labeled as a horror movie, I would rather put it more as a mistery/thriller. The director has found an interesting way to portray the difficulties of immigrant lives , especially the women immigrants which this movie is all about. If u lower your expectations and watch this movie for what it presents, you'll get a decent watch, if you expect something outstanding well, this one isn't that. There is an excellent twist towards the end and the ending itself, however if you are a huge filmophile and watch movies of this genres regularly you will probably see it coming. If you are a fan of Anna Diop or Michelle Monaghan you can expect good performances(although I expected a bit more than a side role for Michelle).

Terminator Santa!
12 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Well if you have 90 minutes of free time to spend, go outside, enjoy life or just watch another movie cause this is not worth your time. I just wanted to terminate this after 10 minutes but kept nerves to watch till the end so you won't have to (you're welcome). The dialogues between the characters (also the characters themselves) in the first 30 minutes are so bad and annoying, so when the terminator Santa appears and kills everyone you kind a feel relief. You can see that they took some details from the original Terminator movie which was kind of an inspiration for this movie I guess. Save yourself while you can and skip this.

Excellent performance from Jeffrey Donovan
1 December 2022
I have been an admirer of Jeffrey Donovan ever since the Burn Notice. I have to admit that this movie is a major disappointment, and compared to the first part this one is quite boring and will likely make you fall asleep somewhere around the middle. However the part that I liked was Jeffrey Donovan's cowboy/macho performance that fits this movie perfectly, I can't shake the feeling that the rest of the cast and the movie itself just didn't match his ambitions and performance to make this movie at least a fun watch. So if you appreciate his work and some earlier roles(especially Burn Notice) give this movie a chance, if not skip it because he is the only thing worth watching here.

Sly is back with a bang!
20 November 2022
Sylvester Stallone 's Rocky, old school, hard a$$ acting style fits this show perfectly. From narrating to cruising through Tulsa it just shows that this role is perfect for him. Also acting as a guy his age and style definitely helps to blend in perfectly. As for the show, the buil up in first two episode was great and moving pretty quickly. It will be interesting with coming towards the end of the season how good and how big twist they have prepared. In the meantime if you are Sly's fan you definitely have to give this show a chance, even if you're not, I would still recommend it for the sake of gangster shows.

Ignore critics!
14 November 2022
First thing you need to do is ignore the metascore which is ridiculous (39)! It almost drew me away from giving this movie a chance, and boy was I in for a treat. Since the main role was given to Zac Efron and the title itself sounded like a joke my hopes weren't that high at all. But this movie gives a very serious and mature massage about the war itself, and also how the people outside the war react and take matters into their own hands as this story follows. One thing is certain, this movie will not leave you indifferent, you might even drop a few tears. As for the embarrassing low critic score, I guess they didn't like the Efron's mustache.

Missed opportunity to be epic movie!
29 October 2022
As a huge fan of war movies I expect them to cause some emotions while you watch them. Whether they make you sad, angry, disturbed, laugh(at some inner jokes between soldiers), unfortunately this one didn't cause any of that in my case, except monotony for the most part. It was great in final 15 minutes but the rest was way too fast and didn't bulid up enough tension. The camera shot was fantastic along with effect and the battlefield itself, soundtrack was also giving a kind of feeling that doesn't fit in this type of movie. It is still a great watch but I just can't shake off the feeling this movie could be epic if they just slowed it down a bit and added more tension and drama to make people leave theaters in tears.

7,5/10.

Late Bloomer!
26 October 2022
Arm yourself with patience cause this one is a late Bloomer. Attention to details is excellent but at the expense of a bit slower tempo. This is definitely not your everyday horror movie and the idea is quite good and original, also the acting crew is very good. Some parts were really dragged out while others too quick, especially towards the ending of the movie. Of course good horror movies don't come that often these days and this one is definitely a fresh breeze in the industry. It is well worth your watch, but be advised you will not be that much scared but more pleased with the story itself, acting and generally the way it is filmed and camera shot.

Art the clown is a state of art!
24 October 2022
In order to watch this you're going to need a strong stomach. What most impressed me in this movie is the antagonist Art the clown. He is just superb and even though both first and second part of this movie are pretty disgusting he is going to make laugh hard at least a several times. The dose of comedy is just enough to make laugh, yet it doesn't take i too far so you will be very much grossed and terrified for the rest of it. Unlike most of today's horror movies the antagonist has a really likeable character and really stands out from regural stuff you watch every day/year. The movie itself wasn't as creative as the first part and in my opinion didn't deserve more than 6/10,however Art was so good and brought something new to table and he deserves at least 8/10 for this performance. I strongly recommend watching the first part as he was outstanding there!

I am still waiting for the citadel...
30 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Directors didn't do a great job at most important part for these type of movies : the portray of post apocalyptic world! OK, there are some nice shots and the message that everyone understands but it still falls short on the decay. Where are the ruins of older civilizations? There aren't any, as much as viewers have no idea which year it actually is, a major plot hole. So for most part of the movie the goal is to reach citadel which you ultimately won't see even though you waited almost 120 mins for it. That describes this movie the best. You just wait for it to develop into something better and more interesting but it just keeps a flat line.

Below average.
26 September 2022
If you manage not to fall a sleep, there is is a solid twist at the end. Everything else in this movie is average. I guess having 5 adolescent girls exchanging not at all interesting stories for the first 30 - 40 minutes is rather annoying and difficult to keep with(at least for us not much older audiences, I wonder how would more senior crowd even bare with this). Male characters also blend in but not in a good way, they just add up to the whole monotony of the cast no one actually stands out like they were picked up from street. To summarize you can skip this one easily as there are much better things to watch.

Homage to the legendary heroes!
13 September 2022
As I said in the title this whole Undisputed series is an homage to the legendary action movies like Kickboxer, Bloodsport, American Ninja etc. You cannot speak only about one part as this is a whole series and when you start watching the first one you will have to finish the othe two quickly(it's that good and addictive). Transformation of Yuri Boyka (Scott Adkins) from villain to unlikely hero is superb, action sequences and coreography are excellent and even the story decent(have in mind that this is an adrenalin pumping action movie). We live in times when great action movies are a thing of past, and we get something good and entertaining every 5 years or even rarer. I'm giving this a decent 7,5 /10 for the all 3 parts (with Adkins, there is a 2002 movie with Wesley Snipes) and the fans of old school action classics must watch this!

Blockbuster in it's prime.
9 September 2022
You are a fan of 80's and 90's cheesy action movies? Bored of heroes running and flying around in their underwear? Old school blockbusters with predictable yet entertaining script? Well, fasten your seatbelt cause this one is just the thing for you! This movie is an audio and visual spectacle, great acting crew and a spice of good old action movies with pure entertainment and fun guaranteed. Finally a sequel that doesn't disappoints in any aspect compared to the original, also some will be happy to see lot of original crew return. For the sake of old, entertaining times when blockbusters where enjoyable I give it 9/10.

Mr Tom Cruise has still got it.

I expected more..
3 September 2022
As someone who grew up wathcing Sly's a** kicking movies, I am definitely a fan but this one is a let down. This movie isn't a "B" production or a low budget, yet it feels like that in most scenes. Director Julius Avery obviosly wasn't up to the task as everything in the movie is too fast with such a low attention to details(maybe directing a movie every 5 years has got him a bit rusty). On the other hand Sly was good and his character had a decent build up story and a good twist toward the end. In the end it's just another missed opportunity to make a more memorable movie, like we see often in other movies as well these days.

Overrated
19 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While I respect the mount of time and budget invested into this creation, the outcome is so overrated! Middle hight guy throwing 150kg tiger over his shoulders and much more unrealistic scenes followed by average CGI this move is 6/10 at most. Story although very predictable has some good moment and coreography in some scenes is impressive, but nothing worth 8/10 rating...
