Hellboy (2019)
(sandor voice on) Stop whinging you cu*ts! (Sandor voice off)
Do not let the bad reviews and ratings make a fool of you, I almost did not watch it because of this. The movie was great. The writing is fine, good acting and unexpectedly brutal (I bet thats the cause of those ratings). It was funny as fuck with a lot of neat lines from Hellboy, the actor made a very good job overall. Dialoqs of the other characters coul be better, but what the hell! the level of brutality of the movie might be a tad to much for some people, but If you can stomach it and yearn for a nice fantasy movie alongside a good laugh, ignore imdb for once and just go watch it.
Huge in France (2019)
I did not think to much about it and had a good laugh
I watched this withoud any prejudice, I had no idea that the protagonist GAD is a real life Person and to be honest, I could not care less. This is just a short Comedy slash Drama show that centers around a famous french Comedian who is experiencing a midlife crisis. He then tries to reconnect to his estranged son in America, a place where he is not famous at all.
In comparison to a lot of the other latest Comedy Movies and Tv shows, this seemed to be a somewhat original story. All the bad ratings could be originating from the mix of jokes of casual, silly and black humor. Some of the scenes that were meant to be funny appeared very awkward and some of the jokes were kinda childish because this is a show mainly done for an adult audience in my opinion. But you can easily skip these cringe scenes and get on with the fun, because the Actor of GAD did a good job here. Dont interpret this show as something that it is not. Atleast to us, the audience, this Show is supposed to be entertainment and nothing more. if you can see it as that and ignore the bad reviews on here, I am sure you can have a good laugh too!
Babylon Berlin (2017)
International competitive TV show made in Germany
This review is based on Astonishment. I did not believe anymore that there would ever be a German production that is well produced and greatly entertaining as well. Babylon Berlin takes place in Berlin in the 1920s and tells an interesting, thrilling and branched story line with likable evolving characters.
The scenery and language are very authentic for the depicted period. The actors do a great job. The show provides different genre elements like comedy, drama, eroticism and action. I recommend it to everyone who likes history and crime in TV shows and ofc to everyone who has lost all hope for German TV/Movie productions.
