How to Deal (2003)
8/10
Bad Rap, Cute Film
21 February 2005
*Don't worry, No spoilers!* I loved this movie. Of course when I saw it I wasn't expecting anything really life changing, so you shouldn't either. It is just a fun film that is perfect for a teenage audience. I couldn't believe it was on the $5.50 rack at Walmart! If you're not into teen dramas then I don't recommend this film, but if thats your bag then go for it! It reminded me of the movie "Saved!" mixed with a little bit of "Say Anything". Trent Ford is unbelievably cute in it, which led me to renting the film "Deeply" which is also a very romantic movie. I do recommend you to keep a box of tissues on hand, I cried like a baby at one point. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Songcatcher (2000)
4/10
Great soundtrack, sub-par story, families beware!

Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILERS!* When I first saw the preview for this, it looked like a good old fashioned hallmark movie. I love bluegrass music, so I couldn't wait to see it. When we rented the movie, we read the back and it sounded even better. The film was pretty boring for the first half, every now and then a song would be played. Then (i'm embarrassed typing this)a lesbian love seen came in. I that ther was something more then friendship between the teachers but I certainly didn't expect nudity and prolonged make out sessions. I was watching this with my mother and I was quite embarrassed, because I picked this movie. But besides that, it was an okay movie. The acting was fine, the actress who played Deladis was great. To be honest, the soundtrack was the best part of the movie. I don't care to see the movie again but i bought the soundtrack the day after I saw the movie. And there are continuation discs that follow. If I were you, I would skip the movie and just get the music.

Restoration (1995)
I loved it
7 December 2004
I thought this movie was a wonderful story. Meg Ryan plays a woman who lives in a mental institution and her acting is great, very convincing. Robert Downey Jr. is a doctor to a king, who marries Meg to save her, but begins to fall in love with her. The fact that their love story differs from most makes this movie even better. I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced along with the characters in the movie. But I will warn you of the nudity, Robert Downey Jr. and minor female characters are nude in certain parts of the movie. The costumes were fantastic and beautiful, as were the sets. I recommend this movie to all who are of age, because of the nudity younger people shouldn't see it unless they are quite mature.
