On Becoming a God in Central Florida (2019)
Great binge watching!
I love the 80's and I have to say...Kirsten is hot as hell in these series!
Contactee (2021)
Everything is bad
The storyline is too slow. The acting is bad. The black/white scenes to indicate flashbacks are too corny for words, almost laughable. The hidden camera images are clichè. The dialogues are poor which also goes for their sound. And so on.
What I did like was the house.
I've stopped watching within 30 minutes.
My Foolish Heart (2018)
Vague and boring
A romantizing fragment of an itinerant, heroine addicted random musician who got lucky with fame but couldn't keep his hands of his girlfriend.
Set in Amsterdam (obviously a studio) with all the cliches you can think of. Red lights, dirty alleys, dark cafes, filty streets, drug dealers and most of it filmed at night. Wallpaper movie.
The way the actor who plays his manager speaks about Chet, as if he was some kind of god, are cringing and corny.
"Notes and rythm find a way to the secret places of the soul"
This movie is being too philosophical and poetic about music for my taste.
No artist is god and most of them are creative people who only can speak out their emotions only with their instrument but are social screw ups.
Perfect movie for none musical yuppies who compensate their own lack of knowledge and experience in music by wordbarfing.
Yuk.
Also, the police guy has no purpose in the movie just like the hooker.
Overrated movie.
Hoops (2020)
Forced and no humor
Shallow characters, main character lacks emotions and depth. Lot of cuss words going nowhere which also goes for the storylines.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Good start but...
Suddenly the story speeds up to no story at all. They all just become greedy and characters fade.
Most annoying thing; the pre-recorded radio chats during the heist and during the helicopter. As if playing a shooter game. No emotions at all.
Skybound (2017)
Terrible
Bad acting, poor FX, bad script, not realistic at all.
