Headin' Home (1920)
It's a movie made in 1920

Anyone expecting it to be an accurate portrait of Babe Ruth's life is missing the boat. It's more of a curiosity piece - representative of the time it was shot, the era it represented, and really the construction of the myth surrounding Babe Ruth. It is ironic that the first in game appearance of the Babe has him hitting with a bat that he made by himself ( ala Roy Hobbs in 'The Natural'), and it's fascinating to realize the Yankee game highlights were from games in the Polo Grounds - home of the NY Giants, and the Yankees until Yankee Stadium was built In 1923. It's a fun movie, and if you enjoy silent movies and/or the early history of baseball you'll find things to like about this movie.
