Mortal Kombat (2021)
90% Fluff, 10% Substance
The movie pays homage to the casual fans of Mortal Kombat, yet offers very little for everyone else. An unfaithful adaptation that relies heavily on fanservice to excuse a paper thin plotline Casting was fantastic for the most part, and the gore was fun. It is worth a watch at least once.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Star-Spangled Man (2021)
Isaiah Stole the Show
Im tired of this racebaiting nonsense in television. I just wanted to watch a good show about 2 awesome characters but instead it is about how white people are privileged. The actor for Isaiah really stole the show with his amazing acting. Too bad the plot is garbage.
WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
I feel betrayed by Marvel
Evan Peters isn't Quicksilver? They knew what they were doing with this. They knew darn well that people would associate Evan Peters as Quicksilver with the Fox version. Yet they lied and betrayed us by making him a random dude. I haven't felt this betrayed since they did The Mandarin dirty. This was just a cash grab and they got away with it. Everything else in this episode doesn't forgive this.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Puppetmaster (2007)
Non anime shows don't have filler
Filler only relates to something with source material and when they deviate from it. This episode is amazing and if you think it is filler, then you shouldnt be investing time in this show.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Avatar and the Fire Lord (2007)
Simply Amazing
The writing, the dialogue. Everything here is top notch. And they got Ron Perlman to voice Sozin. Such a welcome surprise.
Deadpool 2 (2018)
Theatrical version is a 6/10
But the Super Duper Cut is as close to perfection we will ever see in a movie.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (2020)
Incredibly Ambitious, Entertaining Enough.
While this game does not deserve a perfect 10, it does deserve a low 9. This is the most ambitious a DBZ game has been since the Legacy of Goku series. It is what Legacy of Goku would be on a console. Unfortunately, it doesnt capture everything that it could have. This game would benefit greatly from a more improved combat system and improved side quests. I honestly wouldnt mind a Xenoverse Game like this that goes over Dragon Ball Heroes. Overall, I would love DLC for the movies, GT, and Super and maybe a prequel game later on.
Joker (2019)
Great Script, Poor Execution
I went into this movie expecting a DC film about The Joker. What I wasn't expecting, was a movie that took itself way way too seriously. The psychological disorder that Arthur suffers from is laughable (no pun intended). The people that thought this spoke to the mentally Ill are the same people that thought Black Panther was revolutionary. This movie does not depict what actual Depression is like.
Now for the stuff I really enjoyed about this movie. I do not believe this was a good role for Joaquin Phoenix (The voice is just not Joker), but I believe he gave a terrific performance nonetheless. It was obvious from the get go that this was his movie. The acting and the dialogue were 10/10.
But the bad outweighs the good. First of all, I could not stand the musical score they went with. There was absolutely no variety to it and it honestly hurt to listen to. We also did not get to see many other performances in this movie and it was a waste of De Niro and Beetz. I also think that glorifying of murder and chaos was far too abundant. This film made all of the heroes the bad guys. Thomas Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, and the local population were just scumbags in this film.
Overall, I was mostly disappointed but Phoenix got me through this flick. Probably will not see again.
The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage! (2019)
Perfection For A Musical.
I don't normally enjoy musical productions, but I caught an hour or so of this one. The actors are so amazing and they display their love for the original show by their performances. Everything just felt like it should. Bravo to everyone involved in this. This is truly a musical done right.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Tears.... for the first time
The episode was brilliant. The tension was built up from the beginning. I was definitely on the edge of my seat the entire time.
But we lost so many. We lost Elliot, Beric, Lyanna, Melisandre, Jorah, and Theon. The last two were specifically painful to watch as we have known them since season 1. The episode rarely missed a beat and by the time Arya took out the Night King (total badass), I had realized how much had happened.
Huge shoutout to Bella Ramsay for playing Lyanna Mormont, who was able to take out a giant.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018)
Let Fortnite go
Blackout is the main reason for this 3 star review. Not only is it a direct copy of Fortnite, but it has awful graphics. you guys had 3 freaking years to do this right and you messed up.
Venom (2018)
Not a 10 but forget the critics
This movie was pure fun. It was well acted and well paced. Overall a solid 8. Loved this movie.
Spider-Man (2018)
Top 5
This game is truly groundbreaking. I thought ArkhamCity was amazing but this game is AMAZING as the webhead himself. For the first time in a superhero game, I was emotionally drawn into the game. That by itself is worthy of my number 4 spot of all time.
