Catching Killers: Thrill Kills: The Phoenix Serial Shooter (2022)
Important input
I paused the episode and came here to ADVERT people:
DO NOT WATCH THIS EPISODE WHILE EATING.
I made this mistake and now I feel haunted and disgusted.
We're Here: Watertown, South Dakota (2021)
Uncomfortable to watch
I like the show using the most odd group of people and that makes it so incredible and interesting. Last episode was a perfect example for this. But this one.. I can't really put my finger on it, but it was weird.
The Boulet Brothers' Dragula: Search for the World's First Drag Supermonster: Weird, Wild, West (2021)
What a refresh!
What a FREAKING great episode of a GREAT show!
The editing and adding of a great song makes the runway something BEYOND. Even the not-so-great looks were kinda cool because of the way it's shown to us.
Some looks are almost UNBELIEVABLY too-good, that if you understand DRAG as an art form and not only for mainstream version of DRAG. This is DRAGULA on it's most pure concept.
The show respects every body's art-form, this is very clearly shown by the way they respected and participated with Trixie Mattel, who is also great in her own drag version, and still kept the show together.
The judging here MAKES SENSE and that's absolutely indispensable in a reality show of COMPETITION, that keeps audience satisfied just because recognises talent itself.
I just dislike those "drama" sections during the first half, this is just so unnecessary. The show would be even greater if it focused on the artists makeing their looks or even talking about it's concept in a way of keeping us imagining the looks we were about to check.
Either way, this show is such a refresh of ART DRAG and I appreciate it very much.
PEN15: AIM (2019)
This brought me so much DESPAIR
Being an early 90's kid as I am, having lived the rise of internet just like it's shown and also being the same age as the characters during that period made me remember and relive the same 'adventures' and mistakes.
All of that is shown in an almost inocente way except for Ana who is voice of consciousness this turn. But as a 30yo adult now watching Maya do exactly the things that I DID, made me feel SO worried that I had to pause the episode and write this.
In the early 2000's I remember the adults: parents, relatives, teachers, even the media (newspaper, tv and magazine which was still a thing) warning us about the dangers internet could bring.
I had also entered in such chat rooms and sometimes they noticed I was young (probably 12-13yo) and they would get even more interested.
Things were so much easier to go bad. I hope my kid never make those same mistakes.
All of this happened just because this series is incredible in showing what they are willing to. GREAT writing and acting as always.
Genera+ion: CLICK WHIRR (2021)
Hated it
I've been loving this show. But this character is the one I can't find ANYTHING to like.
I disliked the pace, the plot or lack of it (imo), I really can't see why those people wouldn't just smack her in the mouth for being such a jerk to EVERYONE.
I get she is going through some s#!t, but man-oh-man this character's action NEVER makes sense to me.
The low grade was cuz I felt like this was like an EXTRA inside the season.
I Love the show, just not this episode.
Raised by Wolves: Lost Paradise (2020)
I LAUGHED at some points
Damn, this episode actually has a good story line but man oh man.. they did messed some parts up, didn't they?
Like: two survivalists leaving traces behind (the food can, that's some poor writing); Mother's eyelashes trembling when Marcus touches her face (a robot wouldn't react that way during that procedure, and they could easy solve that with proper editing); that remote bomb not working was so cliche that made me laugh in disbelief; that rock-levitating scene was SO upsetting (her powers now make no sense at all, that whole scene was totally out of tune to all the other stuff they already have showed us, that really was the lower point to me); the shooting scenes... Oh dear, ok shooting may not be the easiest thing out there but remember they are SOLDIERS (those whole shenanigans were embarrassing, again the editing could have improved drastically that scene, but clearly DIDN'T); that cutting-her-necklace-loose scene was also bad cuz "why wouldn't Mother be able to reach him?" (Again, editing could/would/SHOULD be able to solve that, but yeah, you know.. they didn't); but THEN the best was Marcus being able to knock Mother down with a SINGLE hit!! Minutes prior to that Father took MANY shots and was still functioning fairly well (that scene also ends up remembering us how poor the shooting scene was earlier).
Oof that was a ride, but I must say, this is still a great show and the story telling seems to be promising BUT having an episode with this many problems makes me question if they are going to be all I was hoping this Series could have been.
I honestly hope this was only a glitch.
Sing On! (2020)
For having fun
This is something really fun to just put in tv, turn up the volume and SING ALONG!
I surely had a great time.
RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race: RuPaul Roast (2020)
Are you ready for (hands down) THE BEST ROAST EVER?!
Wow that was a ride!
The episode was really fun and FUNNY.
The former-cast from the regular show should take notes, because this was hilarious! I honestly cried from laughter.
I will not get tired of saying that this special is a treasure. I honestly hope the seasons keep on coming.
My only note (even though that this doesn't change the experience) would be a better PROPORTIONIZING for the celeb queens, bigger hips and breast would make the transformation go even further.
RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race: Rusical (2020)
Ok. It's official. I love this special!
Honey! This was episode 2 not 4, but ok that doesn't matter.
This format freshes the air. It is fun, sensible, inclusive, surprising, ...
This is exactly what we miss on the normal Drag Race.
My only criticism to this episode is the lack of drag king representation (the flash challenge kinda doesn't count).
RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race: Celebrity Snatch Game (2020)
Bringing things back to life
Wow this started as a normal spin-off and then flipped and became so fresh and fun to watch!!!
This really made me smile all the way through the episode. The stories WERE REAL and you couldn't find all of that edition that we have on the regular show.
Nico's opinions just made me SO HAPPY, and the fact that the show is endorcing that is REALLY important. Even if you tell me that they are doing that just because they HAVE TO ('cuz of the criticism) I would still tell you so:
They ARE DOING it, it doesn't F* matter why!
They could be still doing nothing and not listening.. but no, they are creating the away over here in this one.
So I must say I wasn't waiting for this, but this special honestly got me out off guard.
Please fell free to smile and laugh and enjoy the format of show you miss so much.
Modern Family: Commencement (2019)
Why the hate? It made me laugh hard!
I don't understand the hate. In my opinion the episode was and exaggeration of each character and had me laughing throughout the entire episode. I admit that it had some not-so-great moments, but I ultimately felt very satisfied with the episode. And my mood was really bad when I started the episode so it gave it extra points haha
