Shark Tale (2004)

Not very funny...

I saw this film yesterday, and I must say that it was wildly unfunny. The jokes were weak and scarce. You don't care for any of the characters, and they get what they deserve. They don't call for any sympathy. Will Smith, Renee Zellwegger, and Angelina Jolie all disappoint. The funniest characters in this movie were Don Lino, Bernie, Ernie, Lenny, and and Katie Current. They didn't even have many jokes! That just tells you how bad this movie was. Toy Story, Monster's Inc., Shrek, Finding Nemo, were all 10 times better than this movie. This movie was just hyped up by all the celebrity voices. If you are torn between Shark Tale and another movie, I suggest you watch the other.

Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977)

Not as bad...

Some people say this movie is horrible, though I actually found it quite entertaining. I think the problem is the high expectations. The expectations for the movie were so great that there was just no way that it could be achieved. People habitually compare Exorcist II to the original exorcist movie, but as it's own movie, it is actually better than most horrors out there.

The scientific part was actually quite interesting to me, and the metaphor was excellent foreshadowing. Linda Blair has grown since the first exorcist, and was very good as an actress.

While not as scary as the original, this movie was filled with mystery and suspense. I recommend this movie to most fans.
