Reindeer Games (1996)
One of the few decent indie films....
So "Reindeer Games" is actually one of the few decent independent films I've seen. You have to remember: This comment is coming from a guy who despises Kevin Smith for wasting my time with every movie he releases. I fear I'll never learn my lesson with that guy (but I just have so much hope in my heart.) Reindeer Games is nothing like the Affleck version (which is utterly disgusting.) It's about this guy named Alec who works at a restaurant in downtown Portland, Maine. He accumulates a crush on a co-worker and manages to finally land a date with her.
After the date she makes it clear that she never wants to see him outside of work again, so he does the only logical thing: knocks her out and locks her up in his basement.
There are suspenseful moments--but in that independent film kind of way. The chief of police for Portland (Mike Chitwood) makes a cameo on the end. Not bad considering he violentfied the entire police force--it only makes sense to have him appear in a violent movie like this.
There is one shot they did that I still can't figure out (it appears more vividly in the trailer--where a shadow looms over a chair in the foreground. Anyway, that's about it.

L.I.E. (2001)
It may be art--but that doesn't make it good...
This was the worst independent film I've seen since Clerks. That's pretty bad film-making. It was a waste of celluloid and the filmmakers should have burned the negative and collected the insurance--because it doesn't even belong on the American market.
Have you ever seen those crappy European movies about lifestyles that you know for a fact doesn't exist in this part of the world? It's kind of like that--but on a larger scale. The content revolves around homosexual behavior among children and old guys--not to mention a boy who screws his sister just about every single day. This was obviously the director's personal wet-dream--turned real.
I give this piece of junk a solid two thumbs down. And if I could I'd give the director a big kick to the head.
JFK (1991)
A Wonderful, Wonderful Film
Yes indeed, See this film, for it proves that the Pentagon teamed up with the gay community to kill one of the greatest presidents to ever be elected into office. Although Oliver Stone might have exaggerated some aspects of the situation, I don't believe for a second that he flat out made up stuff. That's not his style. This film certainly beats the History Channel's program "Beyond Conspiracy" which is a completely one sided view of the entire situation. I even wrote a letter to A&E about the right winged content of their program(s.) Anyway, anyone who can admit they hate this film and trash it beyond all comparison is in support of the right wing agenda, war, and the murder of our troops. This exposes a great lie.
Now if we can only prove that 9/11 was an act of the American Intelligence Apparatus.
