Ozark: All In (2020)
Saw it coming, and STILL, WOW!
I tottaly knew, two episodes before the finale that Navarro was gonna choose Marty and Wendy, and that Helen was goint to be out of the picture. But still, wasn't expecting the gunshot. Crazy! I was expecting a nerve wrecking clifhanger and I am glad it didn't end that way because it is very obvious what was going to happen
You (2018)
Entertaining and sometimes thrilling but very flawed
Binged watched this in 3 days, and I really have mixed feelings. Interesting show, at times very thrilling and tense but at the same time filled with flaws regarding the plot and writing. Acting is good, no real complaints. The characters are overall dull and shallow, apart from Joe and Beck. Joe's character is well made and Penn Badgley did a great job. Beck's character is at times very annoying but she has something about her (looks and a certain charm) that kept me from hating her. The biggest issue of the show is the plot. Sometimes it is just to unconvincing and even laughable. Joes character just gets away with so much that it is ridiculous. Some of the actions and behaviour of characters is just stupid, for example Beck having sex and masturbating in front of a giant window by the street, not seeing Joe stalk her constantly and also her really bad judge of character and believing everything she's told although she's being portrayed as smart. Back to the plot/writing. Apart from the huge flaws and being unconvincing it's also often all over the place, rushed or dragged. The only thing that saves it is the suspense and darkness that works well and keeps you watching when you thought "well this is dumb". I perhaps gave it a high rating because, despite all the flaws I liked it and will watch season 2.
