Trekkies 2 (2004)
BORING
15 October 2004
I am a big fan of the original star trek and the next generation, and I'm also a fan of the first film about trekkies but, this one was just beyond tedious, and slow. it wasn't as good as the first one. the first had funny, interesting, moments, and they always had great interviews with the trekkies. this one was more of a "hey, look at all the stuff i have", it was like watching antiques roadshow, except it was the fans themselves guessing how much everything was worth. it was interesting to see some of the people doing their own fan films and plays based on star trek but, aside from that the best part was the recaps on who we saw in the first film. it was interesting to see how they were now, and how they were effected by being featured in the film, widely regarded as one of the best documentaries ever made. this film is forgettable at best, and i wish they tried harder to make things a little more about the fans and not about how much money they have spent on star trek.

Invisible Child (1999 TV Movie)
Whose side should we be on? *SPOILERS*
1 June 2004
Warning: Spoilers
This movie centers around a nanny. in the beginning of the film, the nanny gets a job living and working with a family. the family seems to be very average with a working dad, stat-at-home mom, and two kids. The nanny soon realizes that they are not what they seem. the mother apparently believes that she has three kids and not just two. the third, invisible, child is named Maggie. At first the nanny is a little disturbed by this and doesn't quite know what to make of it. the father decides to try and explain everything to her. the tells her about the day the mother first started talking about their "baby", and that he just wanted to go along with it in order to please his wife. the kids also participate in perpetuating this. they eat maggie's food, dirty her clothes, and even have fake fights with her. eventually the child protective services get word of this and decide to investigate. the father tells the oldest child to lie to the investigators, and so does the nanny. the child protective services believe them and decided to leave the family alone. at the end maggie gets very ill and passes away. the mother and the rest of the family are very sad, as if a real person has died.

Okay, the problem i have with this movie is, are we supposed to be on their side? I think we're are suppposed to think that this sick fantasy is sweet or moving but, the mother clearly has serious mental problems and suffers from hallucinations. the kids are suffering because they are forced to go along with this sick charade throughout the film. during the scenes where they are being investigated, i kept hoping for them to see past their lies and realize how sick the mother is and give her help. the ending felt very empty and unfulfilling. the very last scene shows the mother go up to the father and whisper in his ear,"Thank You". it was almost like she was saying that she knew maggie wasn't real and really appreciated everyone going along with it. although, it cause so much trouble. the kids were almost taken away into foster care, and the dad was forced into faking an ulcer, and the nanny almost loses her job. i think this movie would have been better if the mother got serious help at the end of the film. out of 10, i give this movie a 2.

ER (1994–2009)
Just end it already!
17 April 2004
This show has been going for 10 seasons and that is a great triumph but, it has been going alot longer then it should have. its painfully obvious that the writers are running out of ideas. plus, its like watching a soap opera. almost all the characters have dated or slept with each other. three of the main characters have died, two of them have just left, one of them left and then came back, one of them was addicted to drugs, one of them was caught in a hostage situation, one of them was left at the alter right before getting married, they have dealt with power outages, and drug abuse, as well as child abuse, alcoholism, terrorism, the list goes on and on. why cant they just end the show with dignity while they still have at least two people left from the original season? instead they keep dragging it on. if 90% of the original cast isnt even on the show in the 10th season then i think its prettying glaring that the show is way past its prime.

Teletubbies (1997–2001)
Worst Kid's Show Ever
16 April 2004
First of all, I know that most kid's shows arent that great but, teletubbies just doesnt do anything for them. It isn't educational in the least. I know that they are aiming at kids between the ages of 6 months to 2 years but, what are kids that age doing watching tv in the first place? They won't even know what's going on, and won't really get anything out of it. Any kid over 3 probably won't be entertained by it because its a very boring show, and nothing much happens.I can't understand how people can complain about Barney, either. At least he speaks english! And at least we know what he is. He is a purple dinosuar. Sure, those don't exist but, what the hell is a teletubby? This show should seriously be taken off the air.

Girl (1998)
just plain stupid
16 April 2004
I watched this movie thinking "hey, there are some good actors in this, so it might be good". yeah right, i was totally wrong about that. This movie is about a teenaged girl who really, really, wants to have sex. She thinks that having sex will make her a woman. What she really wants is to have sex with a guy in a band who she idolizes and she just happens to know his sister. She can't really have him so she just loses her virginity to a guy who she deems as being "ugly" and "disgusting" yet, the actor playing him is pretty goodlooking and the guy is pretty nice to her. oh yeah, it gets worse. After this, she finally gets to have sex with the guy in the band, and so she becomes his groupie. Going around with him on his tour and having sex with him whenever possible including in a barn. After all this, she realizes that she didn't need to have sex to be a woman (duh!). The most annoying part is at the end when one of her friends says to her "You are so strong, I wish I could be more like you". what? so during this movie, we were actually supposed to like the main character? She is a doofus. Really, this movie is just a glorified, and more dramatic version of Ammerican Pie. It's all about sex, sex, and sex except the main character isnt as likeable.
